No surprises in the Regata Camino de la Cruz- Trophy Punta Este 2023

The seventh edition of the "Camino de la Cruz- Trofeo Punta Este 2023" Regata has already won, which have made good the prognosis that named them as favorites for victory.
In South version with 18.4 miles of tour and after obtaining the compensated times the winner in the category ORC A has been the Kawan, a First 40.7 by José Mª Gillamot, under the grompola of CN La Isleta. The boys of Gillamot have also been made with the triumph in real time, being the first to take the line of arrival being at 4 p.m. their entrance to Cabo de Palos. After him, in the podium, were the BM Concise (CR Mazarrón) of Jesus Sanchez and the Kalixto of Tono Bas (CN Portmán).
As for the ORC B and C class, the podiums have been closed with Nemox-BNFIX, HMS Surprise, both from the Cartagena RCR, and Argo Navis 3 from the Mazarro CR. As regards fleet C, the Third Pinto (RCR Cartagena), a GP26, has been made with the final triumph, followed by the Saleroso 2.0 (CN eagles) and the Tentotu (RCR Cartagena).
In version from the RCN of Torrevieja, with a fleet that has exceeded the 50 ships that have had to make a journey of 21.10 miles to Villa de San Pedro, the Fenecio of Francisco Javier Reche has been made with the triumph in time compensated being also the first to take the arrival being at 1504.10 hours to do so.
Once the Daruma times of José Beltri and the Greek of José Mª Hernández, both of the RCN of Torrevieja, have closed the podium of the class ORC A.
Mevilla- Jumbuck, from Olaf Kunigk with a J109 has risen with the final triumph, although it has been the second in the real time, behind the Moti (Marina Salinas) of Manuel Gambín, second in compensation. The bronze in this class ORC B is for the Slick of Juan López Santa Cruz, all of the RCN of Torrevieja.
In the class ORC the three podium squares have been for Tucana I of Patricio Valverde, sailing through the CN Dehesa of Campoamor, although it has been second on arrival, behind the Fronkonstin of José Luis García-Molina that already in compensated time has fallen to post 10. Silver and bronze have been for Indigo (CN Villa de San Pedro) and Albana 2 (CN Los Nietos).
As for the solidarity side of the race, the check on what was collected in terms of registration, the Councillor of Sports of Caravaca de la Cruz, José Fernández Tudela, accompanied by a representative of the Association of Families of Persons with Intellectual Disabilities of the Northwest Murciano (APCOM) received the check with the amount collected.
2023-09-16: 80 cruises in the Punta del Este Regata with two versions: Cartagena and Torrevieja

The seventh edition of the Regata Camino de la Cruz- Trofeo Punta Este 2023 already looks to the great sailing party in the Region of Murcia and Comunitat Valenciana. Less than 24 hours for the official start of the competition, 80 ships will be the two lines of departure: Regatas de Cartagena, in its South version, and Nática de Torrevieja in the North.
The Fandango 300 of Javier Sabiote; Daikoku of Isabel Pujante; Four Glory of Santos Jiménez; HMS Surprise of Héctor López; Icaro of Emilio Rogel; Nemox- BNFix of the Romero brothers; Olimpia of Rafael de la Hoz; Tucana I of Patricio Valverde, though and being a coastal race, all have its options of being able to be on the podium, although given that excellent level of any of the 80 ships can configure the various podiums in their respective categories.
The South version: Cartagena, will have an established route of about 18.4 nautical miles, except last minute changes. After the departure in the Cartagena RCR, the fleet will set its way to the Cape of Water, passed by the vicinity of the CN Portmán and after leaving the PD Cabo de Palos will face the arrival located in the enphilation of the Cape of Palos and the island of the Hormigos.
As for the fleet that will take the exit in the RCN of Torrevieja, it will have just over 2 miles than the south, with a total of 20.8 miles. Departure in the proximity to the mouth of the Torreviejense club, island Grosa by starboard and arrival in the headlights of the Port of the CN Villa de San Pedro.
The exit top, simulated, has been established at 11 a.m. The committee, for its part, closes the time limit for completing the two routes, from 18.4 and 20.8 nautical miles, at 7 p.m., except for changes.
At night, already in Cabo Palos and in the framework of the Tryps discotheque, there will be the delivery of trophies and dinner for all the regatists. An event that will have as a special and main protagonist the Association of Families of Persons with Intellectual Disabilities of the Northwest who will receive the check with the total amount on what was collected for registration.
The VII Regata Camino de la Cruz, Trofeo Punta Este has the support of the Patronos: Instituto de Turismo de la Región de Murcia (ITREM); Grupo Fuertes; Postres y Dulces Reina; Café Salzillo; Estrella de Levante; Limcamar; Caixabank; Grupo Caliche; the foundations of the Universidad Católica San Antonio de Murcia (UCAM) and Grupo Hefame, and the Real and Illutre Colegio de la Sosimo and Vera Cruz de Caravaca, as well as the collaboration of Estrella de Levante, the Villa and the territorial clubs of Cartagena and the Villa de Torrevieja.
