Tomorrow everything is decided and more in the waters of Palma

The penultimate day of competition of the Port Portals 52 Super Series Sailing Week turned the battle around for the title of the 52 Super Series 2023. The last day of the season will discover which of the two is proclaimed champion of the season and who will take the event of Puerto Portals, provisionally led by Phoenix. Everything will be decided in an exciting final scheduled for two rounds.

At the end of the fourth day, and together with eight partials, Phoenix remains a leader in Portals and aspires to achieve its first title of the season. The ship of the shipowner Hasso Plattner and the timonel Tony Langley signed their worst day of the week (6 + 6) but still enjoys five rent points in front of Sled (3 + 4) for the last day of the championship. Platoon occupies the third position, just one point from Takashi Okura's.

2023-09-21: Phoenix orders in Portals and Provides in the TP52 Super Series General

A cocktail of winds around the 20 knots and waves of more than two meters caused severe damage to the two maximum candidates for the title of the 52 Super Series... Provizza lost the three tests of the day but continues at the front of the circuit, Platoon the first two and approached six points of the leader, and Phoenix established his first position at the most aspiring to take the last event of the season

The day began with the withdrawal of the Platoon before starting the first procedure of departure for damage in its gear... the second German 52 in the last season... seemed to say goodbye to its aspirations of title... but in a dramatic turn of events, the leader of the circuit and maximum rival of Platoon, the Turkish Provizza, was also out of combat within a few seconds of starting the first test.

The first departure of the day was with ten teams due to the withdrawal of Platoon and it went down to nine when Provizza stopped dry just after starting the tour... a dislamination was the reason... Gladiator started the last leg in the head, but Phoenix beat his rival in the final approach... third finished the American Sled.

In the following test, still with nine ships, Sled managed to complete in the head the very important initial section of the four that forms the route, but Phoenix again chose the side favored in the first set to claim a leadership that would no longer give up... the ship of the tymonel Tony Norris and the tactical Ed Baird signed his third partial consecutive victory, holding to the front of the provisional face to the last test of the day. They'd be followed by Sled and Interlodge.

The third and final manga began with the reinstatement of the Platoon. His ground team made a record-time repair that meant the possibility of scratching a few valuable points to Providenza for the fight for the title... the test was marked by the duel between Gladiator and Quantum Racing powered by American Magic, which would finally win the British for a second in a very tight approach to the goal. Platoon signed a valuable third party that was equivalent to approaching only six points in the general circuit with respect to the leader Provizza, who readded 12.

2023-09-21: Phoenix, first leader of Port Portals 52 Super Series Sailing Week

A complete three-test program premiered the lockers of the Port Portals 52 Super Series Sailing Week, last event of the 2023 season... the day was filled with a costly collision between the German Platoon and the American Sled, the historic first partial victory of the Hongkone Alpha + and the provisional leadership of the South African Phoenix

After the absence of competition for lack of wind and the subsequent arrival of a storm on the first day of race, the Port Portals 52 Super Series Sailing Week took off... the fleet came out into the water with a three-test program and returned to the Marina of Puerto Portals with the duties done, after sailing the planned with winds of 12 to 14 knots.

In the first test of the week, Tony Langley's Gladiator made his bet on the right side of the field with an early lead that he would not give up until he scored a convincing victory, the fifth of the season for the British team that features the Argentine Guillermo Parada a la rea. The British Alegre and the German Platoon would follow him. The ship armed by Harm Müller-Spreer managed to cut six points and to be placed only 12 of the leader of the circuit provisional, the Provizza of the Turkish Ergin Imre, which scored a discreet ninth.

The second departure of the day was dramatic for the aspirations of the Platoon. A risky operation of the Gladiator caused a collision between the German ship and Sled that would leave both of them out of combat... Meanwhile, in the race field the historic first victory of the Hongkonese Alpha + by Shawn and Tina Kang, the team that joined the Circuit at the beginning of the season and that was reinforced in Puerto Portals with the Italian timonel Alberto Barovier, was forged. He would be followed in the finish line by the Interlodge of the fleet's most veteran shipowner and timonel, the American Austin Fragomen, and the Phoenix by South African Tony Norris. Alpha + was placed as a provisional leader, an unpublished image in the historical circuit.

The third and last test of the day had nine ships on the starting line. On this occasion the protagonist was to be the Phoenix, who was able to read the field and get to the first beacon of the tour so as not to leave the head of the fleet until the goal. The re-incorporation of the pluricampeon of America's Cup Ed Baird into the tactic work seems to have been a vulsive exercise for the South African team, again in positions of head after a discreet start of season. Phoenix returned to port as a provisional leader after a day in which it was from less to more (5 + 3 + 1). He was followed by the Protenzza and the Quantum Racing powered by American Magic.

2023-09-20: White day in Puerto Portals in the 52 Super Series

The absence of wind and subsequent arrival of a strong storm to Palma Bay prevented the premiere of the Portals port lockers 52 Super Series Sailing Week.

The last quote of the 52 Super Series 2023 began in white due to the complicated weather situation in Palma Bay. The fleet of 11 ships from eight countries met the choreography of leaving their Puerto Portals Navy pants, but after waiting in the race field for the minimum conditions to compete, it returned to port with the lockers to zero... the subsequent arrival of a strong storm filled the hopes of opening the competition program.
