2023-09-13: The mother race of all races comes... the Castro Cup created in 1907

The Yamamay Cantabre has always been one of the great favorites as he has most often won, after having imposed himself on 14 occasions

There comes a new edition of the dean of the Spanish candle... which intimately links the popular city of Getxo with the cantabra of Castro Urdiales... will be this weekend... in which 116 will be completed since the people of Castro, by popular subscription, paid for the purchase of a great trophy in honor of a young king then of Alfonso XIII.

This race of other times is organized by the cathedral of the Spanish candle... the Real Club Marítimo del Abra-Real Sporting Club and by the Real Club Náutico de Castro Urdiales.

They are two punctuable sleeves... on Saturday a Getxo-Castro online of about 18 miles with exit at one in the afternoon... and on Sunday the classic Olympic triangle in the 12-mile Urdiales Castro waters beginning at the edge of the 12 and a half.

The Castro Cup (one of the most historic and valuable trophies of the Spanish heavy sail)... is always exposed in one of the organizing clubs. If it is won by a canteen sailing boat, at the Real Club Náutico de Castro Urdiales; and if it is won by a Basque ship, at the Real Club Marítimo del Abra - Real Sporting Club... the trophy cannot be won in property.
