The Royal Spanish Vela Federation and its Technical Committee of Judges convene a new Training Course for Light Vela Meters to be held in the island Vela Federation of Tenerife on 2, 3 and 4 December 2023.

This course is open to all those who want to acquire the status of national Vela Ligera Meter, as well as those Spanish Meters who find themselves inactive want to enter the activity, having as a requirement be over 18 years of age or meet them during the course.

The course will take place for two days beginning on Saturday 2 December at 10: 00 and ending on Monday 4 at 20: 00, the last day being on schedule from 16 to 20 hours, with the execution of a knowledge assessment questionnaire, which must exceed 70% of the score.

The programme of the course contains the following contents: World Sailing Equipment Rules, tools, Inspection Procedures, Relations with Regates and Protests Committee, Multicular Events, Practical Cases of Measurement and Verification.

After completing the questionnaire, the students will have to spend a period of practice by the instructors authorized by the Royal Spanish Vela Federation. In order to obtain the Title of National Light Sailing Meter, it must be qualified as APTO in such practices and be in possession of the federal licence of a judge prior to the beginning of such practices.
