The Great Day of the Vela- Bufete Frau has come to an end with a massive event of trophy delivery at the Nàutic S'Arenal Club, after two intense weekends of races for the Optimist classes, 420, ILCA 6, ILCA 4, Open IQ Foil, Techno 293, Formula Windsurf, Musto Skiff, Latin sailing and cruise class boats.
The meeting, which was held in two phases, from Saturday 19 to Monday 21 and from Thursday 24 to Sunday 27 August, was possible with an excellent weather of sun, with the exception of the last day. In fact, the scheduled races for today's Sunday, which were to be the last scheduled for the Optimist Sub13, Optimist Sub16, ILCA 4, ILCA 6 and 420 classes, have had to be cancelled as a result of the great blur that has ravaged the island of Mallorca, which has been fully on orange alert.
The meeting, already enshrined in the calendar of races of the Bay of Palma, is possible thanks to the collaboration of the Bufete Frau. A company whose founder, José Frau Greenfield, has a historical relationship with the club in which he was formed and in which he has sailed from a small point of view, getting a little bit of an inescapable, with titles such as the world subchampion of Optimist (1983), the Spanish champion of Class Europe in 1984 and the world subchampion of Class Europe in 1985. The family saga continued to sail in the CNA, so it not only links them with a commercial relationship, but also emotional.
