The Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup and its organizer, the Yacht Club Costa Smeralda, are associated with Rolex since its inception, a rare longevity in the sport that is at the heart of the continuous evolution of the event and the ability to maintain the highest standards in competition sailing... its edition number 33 will begin on September 3 and end with the final award delivery on Saturday 9.
The Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup 2023 attracts half a hundred boats of length between 18.3 and more than 43 meters. Divided in classes according to their size and performance, and manned by the world's best regatists, they are a combination of power, speed and elegance. Thanks to the race management team of Club Costa Smeralda, supported by the International Maxi Association, the competition is impeccable.
Among the novelties of this edition is the premiere of a division reserved for the multicascos and the regatta debut of the Wally 101 Y3K of Claus-Peter Offen... the fleet will include three units of the majestic J Class (Svea, Topaz and Velsheda), classic jewels such as the 22 meters Baruna (original design of 1938), and several of the latest additions to the select world of superyachts, such as the Wally 93 Bullitt or the ClubSwan 80 My Song.
