Palamós opens inscriptions of the Christmas Race and the International Optimist Trophy

The reference of the Spanish winter competitions of light sailing, international and Olympic opens the window of applications... in an edition that is presumed to be splendid
The Nàutic Costa Brava-Vela Palamós Club has opened this week the inscriptions of its main races such as the 47 Christmas Race and the 34 Palamós International Optimist Tropical-18 Nations Cup.
The Christmas Race is the flagship, with about 50 years of history, is one of the most recognized races worldwide and for years has been the cradle of great regatists and by which Olympic medalists and champions of the world and Europe have passed... the Christmas Race will be held from 19 to 22 December 2023.
For a few years now, Christmas Race has combined the Olympic classes with the youth classes of the World Sailing. As for Olympic classes, registration has been opened to the ILCA 6 Women and ILCA 7 and in youth of the World Sailing in ILCA 6 Male, ILCA 4 Male and Female, 420 Male, Female and Joint, and the great novelty of this edition is the return of the 29er class in both male and female category.
The Palamós Optimist Trophy has for several years become one of the world's top races. After the Garda Meeting is the second largest race in the world, in which the organization has set up a maximum of 550 participants... in the week of its opening, and when it is still half a year to be held, ten percent of the places available are already covered... the Palamós Optimist Trophy will be held from 14 to 18 February 2024.
