The race has been marked by the high participation, a figure that sheds the record of the race, with 46 ships on the starting line, divided into six classes.
Three exits with unmarking beacon for all of them and marking the left board of the race area, stuck to the ground. A decision that allowed to reach the beacon of very fast dismantling, at least two of the great favorites: Weare Urbania, a DK46, and the Fandango 300 (Cartagena) by Javier Sabiote, with A41.
In the back, not too far, the large length, case of the XP Trabico-Universale of Francisco Martínez or the X40 Phoenicio of Francisco Javier Reche and the two 45: Supo Tres Jorma Nuutinen with a Grand Soleil and the BM Concise of with a First.
From there the fleet began to stretch a lot, heading for the beacon of Cabo Roig. The Class 4 and 5, for their part, faced at that time the passage of that clearing beacon, quite grouped and with the favorites occupying the first squares, highlighting the Ozu2 of Quique Mena, Tucana I of Patricio Valverde or the Daikoku of Isabel Pujante. The committee was launching Division 2A and Division 2B fleets.
The Weare Urbania was the fastest to complete the almost 12-mile tour. The boat led by Bat Julio Bernardeau took the line of arrival at 1403 hours, investing 1 hour and 43 minutes to complete the tour. With 7 minutes of difference the Trabico-Universale arrived and then the Fandango 300, being its time of arrival at 14: 16: 48 hours.
Bat Nemox-Bnfix, Class 3, was the first among them to take the arrival: 14: 20: 56 hours. Ozu 2 in Class 4, with arrivals at 14: 39: 32; Brisa, in Class 5, arrived at the Club at 14: 56: 21. In both divisions, the first to take the arrival were Tumbaito I and Mandanga.
