In its passage it has caused damage to some boats and to spaces of the club such as the roof of the sailing school and the Barlovento bar

The facilities of the Náutic Cambrils Club, in the middle of the coast of Tarragona, have suffered the consequences, last morning, of a sea sleeve that has entered the facilities... it has done so by the port of call, following the area of the sailing section and the vial to leave to the beach, where it has stopped.

In its passage it has caused damage to some boats and to some areas of the club such as the roof of the sailing school and the Barlovento bar.

The Navy management reports that intensive work is being done from the very beginning to solve the damage. As a protective measure, the buildings and areas that have been destroyed or disarmed have been sealed... and that as far as possible, the activities will be resumed to return to normal.

A sea sleeve is a whirlwind that unfolds on a large surface of water like a lake or the sea. So you can say it's a tornado on the water, and its characteristics are quite similar to the terrestrial. They can reach the shore, causing damage in places such as beach areas or ports, although it is normal that when this phenomenon reaches the land it will fade at a short time.

This phenomenon usually occurs in Spain in Catalonia, the Valencia Community, the Balearic Islands or the Canary Islands. In other words, the Mediterranean coast is the most likely for sea sleeves to manifest and, specifically, in the autumn, because at that time the waters are at a higher temperature and the typical drains of the time begin to make an act of presence.
