The fleet will start on the 10th of Vigo, Sanxenxo will come into play in the third stage and the competition will be reclosed on the 14th in the Cí Islands Regatta Field

In the Royal Nautical Club of Vigo was presented the dean of the heavy sailing races by stages of the national panorama: the Regata of the Rías Baixas... which will again count a large fleet of cruises in its five stages, from 10 to 14 August.

The Rías Baixas Regata, 60 editions without interruption later, returns another year to the focus of the national heavy candle with five stages for the Rías of Vigo, Pontevedra and Arousa. From 10 to 14 this month the best patterns are guaranteed in a fleet that already has about 40 registered units and could reach 50-60 ships at the closure of registration.

As it has been since 2021, the Rias will have five stages... and two first stages (Vigo-Commud, on August 10; Combarro-A Pobra, on August 11) will be identical to the stages of 2020, 2021 and 2022; they vary the third and the fourth stages, with the elimination of the A Pobra- A Pobra race, which becomes A Pobra- Sanxenxo (day 12), as in 2019... the fourth, A Pobra-Vigo (day 13), to conclude with the decisive Vigo-Cíes- Vigo (day 14).

Concello and Xunta, Xunta and Concello

Concello de Vigo and Xunta de Galicia or vice versa... share the sponsorship role of the Royal Nautical Club of Vigo, which the sailing fans will welcome. They are bad times for lyrical, as the great Netherlands Golpes sang... and almost no one escapes that the brilliance of the Rías is not the same as before... in which the power cores have turned to the Cup of the King of Palma of Mallorca and there are several races that are suffering year by year to get their projects out... when not long ago they competed with Palma and sometimes with success... and we refer to races such as the Rías, or the Prince of Asturias or the Nautical Week of the Port of Santa Maria, for three clear examples. The work of the team chaired by José Antonio Portela, and the help of the Royal Nautical Club, at these complicated times by the Concello and Xunta, or by the Xunta and Concello, is therefore commendable.
