Establishment of the Commission for the Codification of Recreation Navigation for the elaboration of the General Regulation on Sports and Recreation Navigation

The nautical sector is making steady progress to achieve one of its most demanding policy objectives: the draft General Regulation on Sports and Recreation Navigation.

The joint collaboration and work between ANEN and the Directorate-General of the Merchant Navy (DGMM) has formed the working group that is part of the Commission for the Codification of Recreation Navigation, which will be responsible for drawing up the Regulation which will lead to unprecedented legislative progress for the sector. The Commission will also have the task of proposing legislative reforms that can promote sports and recreational navigation.

The working group is chaired by the general director of the Merchant Marina, Benito Núñez Quintanilla, and it is made up of technicians from the DGMM, the professors of Universidad María José Morillas Jarillo, María Victoria Petit Lavall and Juan Luis Pulido Begines and Carlos Sanlorenzo, legal adviser to ANEN, will also have the advice of the Despacho Albores Galiano Portales.
