The Spanish team has won its first event in the history of SailGP, after three seasons, the F50 Victoria has first crossed the finish line at the end of the Oracle Los Angeles Sail Grand Prix, 124; Port of Los Angeles.
The Spanish with Los Angeles has been a film romance full of emotion, determination and a little epic. The second day of competition, the Spain SailGP Team began with an overwhelming victory in race 5, but with a ninth position in the second race of the day that almost left them out of the final, but thanks to pure mathematics, they have been able to sneak into their deserved place.
That dream that Los Gallos yearned for when they saw some of their idols in full competition was finally made reality in California waters. The Oracle Los Angeles Sail Grand Prix, 124; Port of Los Angeles has been a talisman and witness to the great work of the Spanish who have made history.
After a season 2 where they played three finals, in Taranto, Saint-Tropez and Sydney, but did not win any, a third season came where the team failed to qualify for any. A season of learning, work, potholes and changes that has begun to bear fruit in this beginning of season 4.
On the F50 Victoria winner today were: Diego Botin, Florian Trittel, Joel Rodriguez, Nicole van der Velden, Joan Cardona, Stewart Dodson- in the first race and in the final - and Bernardo Freitas in the second.

First day of competition at the Oracle Los Angeles Sail Grand Prix, 124; Port of Los Angeles... new challenge for the ten national selected, which have been measured in California waters... on their first day of competition.
Diego Botin's have gone from less to more on the first day in Los Angeles, with a first sleeve in sixth position, followed by a disputed third position and culminating in a well-deserved second place in the last race of the day.
On the F50 Victoria today, more complicated than ever before: Diego Botin, Florian Trittel, Joel Rodriguez, Nicole van der Velden, Joan Cardona, Bernardo Freitas - the first and third chariots - and Stewart Dodson in the second. A team that has just been incorporated into a new coach, Simone Salvà, an Italian trainer born in Merano who joins the Spaniards after he has won a third place in the Moth Worlds 2022 in Buenos Aires, and Simone has a long experience in the fishing boats.
Precisely, it seems that this advance to the United States in the first competition, with whom it has fought in every maneuver, has given an extra motivation to the Spaniards who have managed to put themselves among the first positions in the two remaining races.
In the second manga, Spain has made a great exit and has fought with the United States and New Zealand to rise with the third position.
In the last day the Spaniards have climbed positions after an exit in the middle of the fleet, ensuring a second position from almost the beginning of the race, and putting the brooch of gold to a day for history books.

2023-07-21: Sail GP... the F50 Victoria with the highest illusion in the face of his debut in Los Angeles
It already sits in the California regatta environment... the imminent beginning of the Oracle Los Angeles Sail Grand Prix... where the Spanish team is very much in the way of the well-known City of Stars, after taking off season four with results that brought new sensations, in Chicago.
After getting a fifth job in the wind city, the Spanish team are preparing to fly in the Pacific this weekend, the aim of the Spaniards is to continue with the good work and try to strengthen positions on the table and demonstrate its potential. The team arrives with the duties done and since its arrival in Los Angeles has studied the race field and its determining exits.
The New Zealand Stewart Dodson, is incorporated as a new grinder of the Spanish team, thus completing the leading team for season 4. He is an athlete who comes from a family with nautical tradition and has been competing since he was a child.
Stewart has participated in the Red Bull Youth America's Cup, where, curiously, his team won the Cocks in Bermuda and the Extreme Sailing Series. One of the greatest achievements in his career is the achievement of the world's bicampionate on the Match Racing Tour.
On this occasion, he will compete the entire team and will be composed of: Diego Botin, Florian Trittel, Joel Rodriguez, Nicole van der Velden, Joan Cardona, Stewart Dodson and Bernardo Freitas.
