The Pontevedresa track of Verdudo will give judgment

This weekend comes one of the most important competitions for the Sprint... the day after tomorrow the palists will travel to Galicia to fight the second National Selective of the 2023 season.

The ships that will be able to overcome the tests that will be held in the Embalse of Pontillón de Castro will get the pass to represent Spain in the Sprint World Championship, which will be held from August 24 in Duisburg, Germany.

The first to fight for this square in the CanoESP will be the participants in the mode C2 200m Feminine where, from 9: 00 hours, María Corbera and Antía Jácome will face the canoe of Viktoria Yarchevska and Elena Gomez-Millán. Then the second female test, but this time in K2 200m, will start at 9: 05. In this race, three boats will be measured to try to get the world square.

Next will be the turn of the male races with the K2 500m. Among the competitors we can find the world champion in K4, Rodrigo Germade, the Olympic Carlos Pérez Rial or Álex Graneri, who made it a few weeks ago to be world bronze in the K1 500m Sub- 23.

The male C1 1000m is the race that has recorded the most participation. A total of eight canoes will compete from 9: 35 a.m. to find a place that was vacant after the last Szeged World Cup.

The two remaining races will be held on the afternoon day. The male C2 1000m will give the gunshot out at 16: 20 with the presence, among others, of two ships formed by brothers: Noel and Diego Domínguez will be measured to Miguel and Diego González.

The selective will end with the male K2 1000m dispute at 16: 30 with the fight of three boats to take out their international ticket. The National Selective can be seen live in Telecomporto.
