The Nautical Club Marina Coruña hosted the presentation on Tuesday of the Snipe Youth World Championship, which will be held in the Coruñese waters from July 26 to 30.

The continental event gives value to the European title, a competition of high quality in the light of the regatists who have already confirmed their presence, including the current champions of the youth world, the canaries Samuel Beneyto and Rafael del Castillo, who defend the grympola of the Royal Nautical Club of Gran Canaria.

Among the five countries to be represented, Portugal also sends its best ambassadors, Martim Stinga and José Baamonde, who hold the national ranking in their youth category.

For the Galician snipers who also represent Spain, there are the current community champions, Jorge Villanueva and Javier Rasilla, combined between the Mount Real Club de Yates de Bayona and Real Club Nautico de Vigo.

But the local representation also proposes its candidacy to the European, in the cane of Carlos Bermudez de Castro and César Herrero, Club Náutico Marina Coruña / Real Club Náutico de La Coruña. They are widely aware of the waters they tend to sail to. Bermudez de Castro is still hot, following his recent participation in The Ocean Race.

Another successful tandem is that of the Coruñesa Marta Tábara and the Sanxenxina Alejandra Peleteiro, which in its female category will have to do with the Valencians Irene De Tomás and Carolina Navarro; the Malacitanas Alejandra Ruiz and Rocío Vidal; or the viguesas Rosalía García and Daniela Mariño.

Finlanders and British complete this brilliant sea star from five countries that in the coming days will begin their landing in the Herculine city to begin their training and test the area's own meteorology, as well as the currents and state of the sea in general of the Coruñese bay, up to twenty crews.

The race consists of five days, the first one for the registration of participants and measurement, and the remaining four for the competition, with eight sleeves scheduled, two for the day.

The Snipe Youth European Championship is organized by the Marina Coruña Nautical Club, thanks to the sponsorship of the A Coruña City Council, Galego Sport of the Xunta of Galicia, Repsol and Gadis, with the Royal Spanish Federations and Galician of Vela as well as the Snipe Spain class itself.
