The show of motoronautics lived this weekend in the waters of the Miño, hosting Tui the Spanish Championship and Iberian Trophy of T-850, organized by the Royal Galician Federation of Motonautics, with the collaboration of the Royal Spanish Federation, the Concello de Tui, the Naval Command of the Miño, the Xeral Secretariat for or Sport of the Xunta of Galicia, the Diputación de Pontevedra, Civil Protection of Tui and Tomiño, the Club Náutico San Telmo, the Inclusive Náutico Club of the Miño, and the City of the Dronciña, and the City of the Salon.

The pilot of Guadalajara Cristian Ortega was the winner of this event, the same success as in 2021 when he was also taken... impeccable performance of the Guadalajareño, who kept the distance from the beginning, even by bending one of his adversaries, practically making the four sleeves of the championship, alone.

The second group was led by the Malacitan Christopher Burgess, who was finally second, and by the Tarraconense Héctor Sanz, third on the podium, used to Tarragona's to join other more powerful ships such as the Endurance or the F-2, as the only Spanish representative of this latter modality, who plays in another division.

The attendance of a large audience, as in previous editions, who lived the race and was exalted with some motifs, such as the most accidental sleeve, which was that of the premiere. The first test was carried out with the engine break of the Portuguese Nuno Ramos, the direction break approach of the saltina Claudia raised to the ship of the vineyard Keko Pereira, which practically left it half sunk and already with serious electronics problems for the next sleeves, in which it had to be removed.

A generous gift from Ramos who, in view of the impossibility of continuing in the Iberian Trophy, gave up part of his management systems to Criado so that he could continue to compete, already with some prudence from the Salamanca pilot by not giving in the same way the boat for also having touched the port alarion, due to the impact with the galician.

With the technical checks was opened in the afternoon of Friday the paddock located in the facilities of the Naval Command of Miño, a moment that was used by the fans to know and observe in a closer way this type of ships... that in a number of eight will compete on the channel of the Miño at the height of the Command, in which it passes through the area of the highest flow, with a length of circuit of some half a mile by 70 meters wide, and where the buoy turns will be a spectacle to be the moment of greatest difficulty, especially the cuts that are made by the two Spanish pilots, to the same level of the one of the two years that are made to the Spanish, to the one of the other of the one of the most popular, that are to the one of the one of the one of the two years, that it is to the one of the one of the one of the two of the two of the Spanish, of the Spanish, that it is to the one of the one of the one of the one of the one of the two of the one of the two of the best.

The Naval Command of Miño hosted the presentation of the Spanish Championship and Iberian Cup of T-850 and GT-60 that is to be held this weekend in Tudenses waters, with the guaranteed presence of the best national pilots of both specialties, as well as those of the neighbouring country of Portugal.

The boat designs running in these categories are monocasque, with length about 4.50 meters, with high speeds around 100 / 120 km / h.

The engine of the T-850 is two-time, unlike that of the GT-60 which is four, much more modern and ecological, this category being the one that, in a very short time, will prevail in international circuits.

The press conference was chaired by the mayor of the city of Tui, Enrique Cabaleiro, accompanied by the Segundo de la Comandancia, Carlos López Santiago, as well as the president of the Royal Galician Federation of Motonautics, José Fernández Prado; the Chief of the Provincial Service of Sports of the Xunta de Galicia, Daniel Benavides; the sports concelleiro, Rafael Estévez; and the vocals of the convening Federation, Marcos Casaleiro and Carlos Estévez (Photo Juan Caballero)

The circuit of the competition will have a tour of something more than a kilometre, defined by buoys flattened with colors that will indicate, according to their tonality, whether to be addressed by port or starboard, having the water sheet of a line of 500 meters.

The number of turns is approximately 15, adding one more in the last section, resulting in a total tour of between 20 and 25 km. Of the four sleeves scheduled, they will score the best three.

This type of configuration is a combination of skill and power, having to draw the beacons with skill by pressing on long sections to reach the point speed.

The tests will begin at 11: 00 this Saturday morning on the bank of the Miño near the Naval Command.
