The III Rías Baixas Isonor route was presented on Friday at the Baionés club in an event that was chaired by José Luis Álvarez, president of the Monte Real Club de Yates, and Jorge González Cuenca, CEO of the Grupo Isonor, also with the presence of Jesús Vázquez Almuiña, mayor of Baiona; María Fraguas, commercial director of the Grupo Isonor; José Antonio Marcote, responsible for communication the Rural Association of Desenvolmemento de la Ría de Muros e Noia; Jorge Arán, president of the Real Club Náutico de Portosín (Photo of the Royal, Ignacio de Gilaamo);
30 ships will gather, from this next Monday, July 3, to travel from Baiona to Santiago de Compostela on the Rías Baixas Isonor route. It is the third edition of a journey that, organized by the Monte Real Club de Yates, the Real Club Náutico de Portosín and Xeofatado Ria de Muros e Noia with the sponsorship of Isonor, was born two years ago to become one of the different routes that make up the Way of Santiago and to disseminate the marine culture, to promote nautical tourism, to promote the sport of the sailing and to make known the potentialities of our ports.
The sea pilgrimage will begin next Monday, July 3, with the fleet leaving at 11: 00 in the morning from Baiona to Commud. The next steps will be to La Toja, Pobra do Caramiñal and Muros, finally arriving on Friday to Portosín accumulating more than 120 miles from the starting point.
On the next Saturday the participants will be able to complete the last stretch to the Galician capital on foot and thus obtain La Compostela after having sealed their peregrino's credential in each port... the Route carries three follow-up boats that will accompany the fleet and a van by land of organization and security.
