The Farr 42 Mirfak with Diego López of the patron of the Naval Commission of Regatas de Ferrol won in the twenty-third edition of the Regata Infanta Elena, which has started the Circuito del Trofeo President of the Xunta de Vela Pesada.

The second square was for the Urbapaz, with Fran Edreira as the patron of the Cabanas Nautical Club... being the third square for the Gitana 35, by Jose Antonio Quintero of the Herculino Club del Mar de San Amaro.

Finally in the less competitive family-cut and vintage group, called the tailor drawer as Open... the Holland 27 Carozo of the well-known Coruñese meteorologist Maximino Casares, which was a component of the mythical Galicia 93-Pescanova in the Whitbread Round the World Race... took the symbolic victory.

The event of delivery in the Pañol of the Royal Nautical Club of La Coruña was attended by the territorial Delegate of the Xunta in A Coruña, Gonzalo Trenor and the Commodore of the Herculine nautical Jorge Etcheverría.

This weekend the twenty-third edition of the Infanta Elena Regata will be held on the coast of Coruñesa, opening the circuit of the Trophy President of the Xunta de Vela... which will have its continuity in Baiona on 1, 2 and 3 September, to be completed in Sanxenxo on 1 October.

Organized by the Royal Nautical Club of La Coruña, it will have two categories... the ORC with three sleeves: two barlovento-sotavento tours and a coastal test... while the Open will have two coasts.

In last year's edition we must point out the triumph in the Infanta Elena, in the class J.80, the ship of Guillermo Blanco Impression 3D Atlántico, of the Nautico while the triumph in division 1 was for the Mirfak of Diego López, of the Naval Commission of Regatas of Ferrol. The winner in division 2 was the Urbapaz, of Fran Edreira, of the Nautic of Cabanas. This race is supported by Vanguard, Gadis and Cabreiroá.
