Historical victory for the duo composed by Carlos Manera and Fede Norman... that for the second time in a consecutive way the MiniFastnet, which has been held last week in French waters, with 90 ships online.
The boat is a prototype built by Racing Club Synergy, which has competed for the Port de la Selva Nautical Club, with a lot of youth on board... since Manera is 25 years old.
This race begins in the French port of Douarnenez, heading to the mythical island of the Fastnet in Dutch waters and turn... a total of 600 nautical miles, in which they have invested 6 days and 16 hours to complete them. It has been a very hard race marked by the little wind, achieving an average speed of 4 knots,
Since Tuesday the duet has been in the lead after having made a different tactical decision to the rest of the fleet. "We had a plan to go west, the opportunity was given, we went to look for it and it worked," says Carlos, who had the strategy very studied, although it was very difficult for the little wind. They have made a good team with Fede Norman, they say they have enjoyed a lot: "It's about helping the partner, seeing that he needs and joining him, that generates that one plus one is equal to 3," says Fede Norman, they claim to have been two perfectly united pieces. Carlos has participated in four competitions this season: two wins, a third and fourth place. After a year of construction of the prototype and a lot of work, it is very satisfying to see how it gives its fruits and to enjoy it.
