Slalom's career returns to the World Windsurfing of Well Left 14 years later

This modality joins the already usual discipline of Waves in a competition that will count, for the first time in the history of the world, with the category Master + 40 and + 45
The World Cup of the PWA in Gran Canaria, again sees high-speed Slalom. A class that returns to the beach of Pozo Izquierdo after 14 years, being the second Slalom competition of the PWA Windsurfing World Cup 2023... this discipline is joined to the traditional category of Olas, both in its male and female mode, in its 35 edition that is held from 1 to 9 July in the municipality of Saint Lucia of Tirajana.
Since 2009, there has been no competition in this category of windsurfing, which consists essentially of competing in a zigzag race between beacons, always with strong wind grabs, an ingredient that is never missing in Pozo Izquierdo. With this additional mode of windsurfing along with the category of Waves, the Gran Canaria PWA Windsurf World Cup 2023 will mobilise in this edition more than 80 Riders in Slalom between men and women, who will combine Windsurf with keel and Windsurf Foil.
The Gran Canaria PWA Windsurf World Cup 2023 will have, in addition to the professionals, the youth categories Sub13, Sub17 and Sub20, both male and female, and for the first time there will be Master + 40 and + 45 in the Olas mode.
From 1 to 9 July, the Riders will be installed on the beach of Pozo Izquierdo, ready for what will be one of the hardest tests for the world's windsurfing elite and one of the few stops of the PWA Windsurfing World Cup 2023 at which will compete in both Olas and Slalom
