Fernando González del Castillo, Martín Seoane, Flavia Rodríguez and Arancha Rivero win the title in As Pontes, for the Real Club Náutico de La Coruña

The Royal Nautical Club of La Coruña was proclaimed the Galician Champion of Optimist for teams following the tests held at Lake As Pontes where 19 teams from different nautical clubs in Galicia competed.

The champion team was made up of Fernando González del Castillo, Martín Seoane, Flavia Rodríguez and Arancha Rivero. This triumph revealed the potential of the Coruñés Club School of Sailing in the Optimist class, as this team called Fernandiños provided the best Galician ranking of the year at individual level.

The second place in this Galician Championship was for the Real Nautical Club of Vigo and the third for the Nautical Club Marina Coruña.

The Coruñés Nautico contributed to this event nine regatists. The other team, the Pedriños, was composed of Pedro and Pablo Núñez, Carmen Bermejo and Nora Nieto. Rosa Rivero also moved to be part of a team of the Lucense club that organized the event: the Vela de As Pontes River.

Next weekend, it will be held in the waters of the Minor Sea, organized by the Federation of Sailing of the Region of Murcia; the Spanish Championship of Optimist for Autonomies. With the selection of Galicia, they will attend the tournament by the Coruñés Nautico Fernando González del Castillo, Martín Seoane, Flavia Rodríguez, Arancha Rivero and Nora Nieto... as coach will be Manuel Núñez.
