The Ocean Race: Team Jajo wins the In-Port of VO65 race in The Hague

The local team won in the VO65 class, while all the regatists are preparing for the last stage to Genoa from Thursday...
Team JAJO, of the Dutch flag, made a statement of intent from the departure of the In Port of the VO65 race in The Hague on the afternoon of Wednesday as they crossed over the entire fleet, a high-risk and high-reward bet. This maneuver allowed them to build a solid advantage in the first beacon.
Behind them, the leader of the race general, the WindWhisper Racing Team, left second followed by Viva Mexico. But the Mexican team chose to deploy a zero code on the stern section that did not give up well and made the Mirpuri / Trifork advance it.
In the second round of the tour, the WindWhisper pattern, Pablo Arrarte, fought aboard to reassemble JAJO Team from Jelmer van Beek and try to get the lead. But the JAJO was well protected and even extended its advantage to get a solid victory in front of an excited local crowd.
The crew of the WindWhisper of Arrarte sailed a solid race to take the second place, overcoming the Mirpuri-Trifork Racing, which was third.
There was also action in the back of the fleet, as the crew of the Austrian Ocean Racing powered by Team Genova went back last minute, passing to Team Mexico just before the finish line to get fourth place.
