The Vizcaina waters of the Abra hosted the Euskadi Championship of the J80 class, which was the best test for the Spanish Championship that will take place from June 15 to 18 on the same stage. In the end, after four tours - two every day -, the Solintal of Ignacio Camino and Armando Gutiérrez, of the Real Club Marítimo de Santander, was made with the absolute victory after preserving the leadership to which he was augmented on the first day, on which he arrived before anyone on the two tours.
After the decisive day, the Solintal (3 points) maintained its privileged position to impose on its top rivals: the Biobizz vizcino of José Azqueta (7 points), second in the general and champion of Euskadi, and the Fredo La Estrella del Norte cantabre of Pichu Torcida (also 7 points). A true luxury podium in the Abra, with important participation of Basque regatists, Cantabros, Gallegos, Baleares, Valencians and even French.

The final day began as the previous one, with triumph in the first tour for the Dominator Solintal, followed by the Fredo La Estrella del Norte and the Biobizz, the three most outstanding crews of this Euskadi Championship. The Decoexsa was fourth and the Fingolfin fifth. The fourth and final contest was won by the HibLab School of Vela José Luis de Ugarte de Tomás Trueba, with the second Biobizz, in a spectacular final between both, and the Third North Star Fredo.

The Real Club Marítimo del Abra - Real Sporting Club organized the best test for the next Spanish Championship in the same race field
The Committee was an hour before the signal of attention in the race field, when there was some mist and little wind. The measurements made first marked a wind of two to three knots that rolled to the right until it was set between zero and ten. In the end two sleeves could be given with that north wind and roll, the time being very just to give the third, which could not finally be realized.
The test was organized by the Royal Maritime Club of the Abra-Real Sporting Club in the year of its 125th anniversary. This Club has already hosted the Spanish Cup in 2012, 2018 and 2021, the World Cup in 2019, as well as the Women's Sailing Cup in four editions and the next Spanish Championship from June 15 to 18. Before, the turn has been for this Euskadi J80 Championship that has meant a great training for twenty crews from different communities who met in the Vizcaina waters of the Abra, in a test that in its first day coincided with the Surne- Trophy Eskarra Regatta.
