The Ocean Race: Biotherm and the WindWhisper win the Aarhus In Port

A great day of regatta In Port in Aarhus stands out by two large rallies
This Sunday a radiant sun presided the morning, as it has done throughout the scale in Aarhus, which meant that a growing wind would be the protagonist of the In Port races.
In the IMOCA class, with the overall classification of the highly equalled race, the results of the In-Port race are of great importance as a debugging mechanism for the General of The Ocean Race.
As the output pistolet sounded, it was the Biotherm who better timed its approach to the line and increased the speed to perfection to reach the line at the end of the sotavent with an excellent rhythm, winning the output with solvency.
In the first beacon, the Biotherm was a leader, Team Holcim-PRB second, the 11th Hour Racing Team third and Team Malizia fourth.
In the third tranche, the Biotherm stretched its leadership over the fleet in a long way towards the end of the tour.
Deciding when to turn in the fourth tranche was another key decision to ensure the distance acquired. Once again, the Biotherm chose the perfect place and, as a result, took even more advantage of the rest of the fleet, reaching 640 meters ahead of the Holcim-PRB.
The Biotherm then perfectly mounted the third and fourth beacon to further expand its advantage and certify its triumph.
Team Holcim-PRB finished second, the 11th Hour Racing Team was third and Team Malizia finished fourth.
IMOCA - Regata In Port de Aarhus - Results
1. Biotherm - 5 points
2. Team Holcim-PRB - 4
3. 11th Hour Racing Team - 3
4. Team Malizia - 2

Previously, VO65 were the first to reach the race field, with light winds of 5 to 7 knots while the wind was settling.
As the exit pistolet approached, the WindWhisper Racing Team (POL) seemed to have the initial impulse, although a bad maneuver slowed them down. Instead, Team JAJO (HOL) had a better start with a perfect time / distance balance at the center of the output line.
A few minutes later, the WindWhisper increased its speed again to take over the fleet.
In the first beacon, the WindWhisper was a leader, followed by Team JAJO, who mounted the buoy 16 seconds behind. The third was the Viva Mexico, followed closely by the Mirpuri / Trifork Racing Team (DIN).
For the WindWhisper, a well-synchronized approach and a slight streak provided a smooth beacon step. The same thing happened with Team JAJO, and both extended their advantage over the rest of the fleet.
Meanwhile, further back, a battle was fought between Viva Mexico, and the Mirpuri / Trifork Racing Team, with less than a length between them.
The second round of the tour did not change the script and the WindWhisper Racing Team, patronized by the Spanish Pablo Arrarte, overtook Team JAJO in the goal with an impeccable performance.

2023-06-03: The Ocean Race: The In-Port of Aarhus in Port Regatta on Sunday

The 11th Hour Racing Team seeks to expand its leadership in the In Port Series and VO65 are back on stage
Aarhus is exhibiting incredible conditions throughout the scale and the pronostio augurs that the sunny skies will continue for Sunday's In Port race. The visitors have been enjoying the heat and the city of smiles has honoured his name.
The Sunday In Port race is the return of the VO65 fleet when the VO65 Sprint is resumed. After sailing from Alicante to Cape Verde last January, the fleet returns with some known faces and new regatists that debute in the world's most important crew ocean race.
For the IMOCA fleet, the In Port Series classification serves as a debugging mechanism for the classification of The Ocean Race. The enormous equality on top of the table makes the results here very important.
The 11th Hour Racing Team leads the In Port and has never ended below the second place in the four races held to date. But despite that impressive streak, they are only one point above Team Malizia, while Team Holcim-PRB is 6 points away.
The VO65 fleet starts on Sunday with races that will leave at 12: 10 local time (10: 10 UTC). The IMOCA will then leave at 14.15 local time (12.15 UTC). The forecast is of soft winds of 4 to 7 knots, which should be consolidated as the day progresses.
