Spain closes the Allianz Regatta held in the Netherlands with three Top10 posts, highlighting the sixth position obtained by Gisela Pulido in female Formula Kite. Adriana Castro has been ninth in ILCA 6 and Albert Torres and Elías Aretz tenth in 49er.
Gisela Pulido premiered in the second place of the female General of Formula Kite, and remained in podium squares until the third day. On Saturday, a crucial day to establish the Top10 that would fight the Final Series, the instability in the wind force and the tight classification turned to the table with Polished in sixth position. The wind has today been the key piece in the development of the third day of the Allianz Regatta. The Spanish team has handled the conditions well and faces tomorrow, final for the end of Sunday, with Gisela Polido third in Female Formula Kite, Albert Torres and Elías Aretz 11th in 49er and Bernat Cortés 15th in Male Formula Kite.
With the instability of the wind as a protagonist, the planned program has been completed in female Formula Kite, although with changing conditions that have danced between 7 and 15 knots. The Allianz Regatta has started in Almere, the Netherlands, fulfilling the program planned and with an excellent premiere of Gisela Polido that is second of the provisional general in Formula Kite female. In the male category, Bernat Cortés takes the lead in the national representation in the 13th place, the same as Albert Torres and Elías Aretz in 49er. In ILCA 6, the first Spanish is Adriana Castro, octave, and in ILCA 7 Pep Cazador, 16.
Gisela Polido has been very strong in the race field, placing in the head trio in three of the four contested sleeves and rising to its markers a 2- (4) -2-3 at the end of the day. These results place it in the second place of the provisional general, four points from the leader, French Poema Newland.
Among the boys of Formula Kite, Bernat Cortés has also signed a good day, accounting for three Top10 posts (5-8-6), and dismissing a twelfth, which leads him to the thirteenth post on the table.
