Galicia's reference finnist Miguel F.Vasco led the Coruña Fibra to a just victory

He finished in Vigo's Ria one of the most disputed editions of the Winter League Baitra J80, which year after year organizes Monte Real Club de Yates with the sponsorship of Baitra Naval Accessories for this fleet of monotypes.

After six days and a total of seven trials held, the Kotablue Fibra Coruña 14 / 18, of the Real Club Náutico de A Coruña, led by the champion of Finn Miguel Fernández Vasco, rose winner of the competition, registering his name for the first time in the honor picture of the winter liguilla, with 15 points resulting from a partial of 1-3-1-4-5-1.

The second... Alboroto de Juan Carlos Ameneiro, Javier Aguado, Juan Lago, Javier Lago and Amador Riveiro. The current Spanish class champion, after being a leader until the penultimate day, could not be made with the final victory, but with a meritorious second position, as he repeated from the previous edition. It ended at just one point of the Coruña Fibra, with 16 points (1-3-1-4-5-2).

Behind them, closing podium with 22 points (6-2-4-2-2-6), the bronze was hung to the neck by the Solventis crew, led by Malalo Bermudez de Castro and Alberto García. And they completed the Top 5, in fourth and fifth position, the Portuguese Mariah, of Manel Cunha; and 4 Jotas, of Joaquim Moreira.

It was not a simple victory for the Herculine team, who fought with nails and teeth for the laurels. On the third day of the tests, the crew formed by several young people of the School of Sailing of the Coruñés nautical (Esteban Martínez de la Colina, Juan Maciñeira and Carmen Martínez de la Colina), managed to climb from the tenth to the third place; and in the penultimate stage he took the jump to the first, unlocking the Alboroto, the leader.

2023-05-26: J80 Baitra finishes: Solvents for the machada before Fibra Coruña and Alboroto

That great pattern that is Malalo Bermudez de Castro will go through all of them at the J80 Baitra.

This weekend comes to an end the Winter League Baitra J80, which has been fighting since last February in the Ria de Vigo and Bay of Baiona under the organization of Mount Real Club of Yates and the sponsorship of Baitra Naval Accessories.

After five days of testing and with the very tight marker in the top of the classification, this Saturday from three in the afternoon will sound the last bars of a competition that has been very hard to match since its inception.

If the weather allows, the race committee will lead the crews to the Fondadero de Cíes, where it hopes to be able to prepare a trapeze-shaped tour, a formula that will be used in the World Cup of the class for which much of the J80 fleet is being prepared... the B-side of the single will be the inside of the bay.

With 15 points, the Coruña Fibra led by Finn Miguel Fernández Vasco's champion, from the Real Club Náutico de A Coruña, goes in the head of the table. The Alboroto de Juan Carlos Ameneiro, from Monte Real Club de Yates, follows him very closely, just one point away.

Another of the ships with the possibility of getting up on the last day is the Solventis, also from Monte Real, patrolled by the Herculino Malalo Bermudez de Castro. It's 7 points from the leader and 6 points from the second, and if things work out for him, it could make it real.

A little more apart from the first classified are the Marías de Manel Cunha, with 30 points; the 4 Jotas de Joaquim Moreira, with 37 points and the Spaco de Santiago Estévez, with 39 points.
