The second quote of the 52 Super Series 2023 was resolved in the last of the ten trials. After four days and eight partials, the last day began with Quantum Racing powered by American Magic at the head of the provisional, with two points on Vayu and nine on Providenza. The title was resolved in two dramatic final assaults that literally turned the podium.
The departure of the penultimate test of the week was lethal for Vayu and Phoenix: the Thai ship was pushed behind the Committee ship and came out last, while the South African was off-line and had to return. At the head of the fleet, Protenzza signed his second partial victory of the week to take the second provisional square to Vayu (tenth in this sleeve) and to a point of the leader, Quantum Racing powered by American Magic (ninth). The head of the classification was compressed with the three in three points facing the last sleeve.
The miracle mentioned by Imre was completed in the great final. At the front of the test, the Platoon of Harm Müller-Spreer had no rival and scored his second partial victory of the week, which was equivalent to finishing fourth in Scarlino and ascending from the seventh to the third place in the general of the circuit. Provizza achieved the goal of keeping the ever dangerous Quantum Racing powered by American Magic aft, signing a quarter for a sixth of its rival and proclaiming a leading champion of the 52 Super Series Scarlino Sailing Week... the next act in Spain, with the Menorca Royal Cup will be held from 4 to 9 July with headquarters at the Mahono Maritime Club.

2023-06-02: 52 Super Series: Quantum, Vayu and Providenza, podium in the absence of a day

A complete three-sleeved session stirred the provisional on the penultimate day of the Scarlino Sailing Week... three different teams distributed the victories, but Quantum Racing powered by American Magic was the best of the day and reached the final as leader stalked only two points by a surprising Vayu, who seeks his first 52 Super Series podium (Photo Nico Martínez)
The Tuscany region presented the best conditions in the fourth day of competition of the 52 Super Series Scarlino Sailing Week, with a sea breeze in the range of 9-11 knots ideal for the TP52 show.
Quantum Racing powered by American Magic, Provizza and Platoon split the partial wins, but it is the American team that reaches the last day in the head of the provisional in its intention to revalidate its 2022 victory. Sled gave in three positions in the general and Vayu continued to demonstrate its excellent shape status.
The first sleeve of the day was a turning point on the provisional. It resulted in a pulse between the German Platoon of Harm Müller-Spreer and the American Quantum Racing powered by American Magic by Doug DeVos, haunted at all times by the Vayu of the Whitcraft family. The victory of the 2022 champion, combined with the discreet eighth of Sled and the good third of Vayu, stirred the upper area of the provisional. The title defender was a leader.
In the second test of the day, the Provider of the Turkish Ergin Imre went out on the right end of the line and soon led the load. The boat in which the canteen navigator Nacho Postigo competes would no longer give its rivals options, while by its stern the Austin Interlodge and Gwen Fragomen and the Phoenix of Hasso and Tina Plattner were in second position. The South African ship needed a good result to make up especially for its poor second day in Scarlino (11 + 9). The order on arrival would be Providenzza, Interlodge, Phoenix and Vayu.
At the departure of the third test, the entire fleet was disputed on the side of the Committee, causing a good number of protest flags. Sled was literally stuck in the line as his rivals ran away by bow, which in the end would cost him a very painful 11 in his locker. Platoon achieved the right craving and soon stood in front, completing the four sections of the tour in the head. He was followed in meta Quantum Racing powered by American Magic, Alegre and Vayu.
Four days and eight tests completed, the Scarlino Sailing Week is decided tomorrow. The provisional for the last day is headed by Quantum Racing powered by American Magic, with two points of advantage over Vayu, the most regular and unique ship of the fleet that has not fallen from the seventh position throughout the week (3 + 4 + 4 today). The Thai team, in which six members of the Whitcraft family compete, is looking for their first podium. Third is Providenza, who had an irregular day (6 + 1 + 10). Sled, who went out to the water in front of the table, had a bad day (8 + 7 + 11) and fell to the fourth provisional square.

2023-06-01: 52 Super Series: Sled by Takashi Okura from the United States continues to lead

The storm threat in Tuscany reduced to a single test the competition program of the third day of the 52 Super Series Scarlino Sailing Week. Quantum Racing powered by American Magic, winner in 2022, imposed Vayu on the same finish line, but Sled did what was necessary to defend his provisional leadership after five partials (Photo Nico Martínez)
Third race session of the 52 Super Series Scarlino Sailing Week... with just six knots and a lot of weather instability.
In the first manga... after the expensive off-line of the previous day, Quantum Racing powered by American Magic came out without risk while the Hongkonese Alpha + escaped to the front of the fleet in the initial meters.
The rookie of the fleet was soon relieved by Thai Vayu, who mounted the very important first step by buoy, followed by Quantum Racing and Provizza.
Vayu would lead the rest of the tour, but he was moving too soon into the final built-in, giving way to his persecutors and seeing Doug DeVos's team get literally into the line of arrival. The difference, just four seconds for the 2022 champion, who resented the tenth suffered the day before by a calculation error on the way out and returned to the battle for the Italian title. Third would finish Interlodge.
The threat of storms in the race area deterred the organization from giving the second exit of the day, sending the eleven teams back to Marina de Scarlino with five partials on their markers after three days.
The provisional for the penultimate day of the race shows the American Sled in the head with three points of advantage over the Thai Vayu of the Whitcraft family, which seems determined to become Scarlino's surprise. The victory of Quantum Racing powered by American Magic allows the title defender to ascend to the third square, tied with Protenzza and only four points from the leader.

2023-05-31: 52 Super Series: The American Sled is already a leading leader in Scarlino

The team armed and patronized by Takashi Okura was the best of the second day of the 52 Super Series Scarlino Sailing Week and managed to hold the front of the provisional, which now leads with five points of advantage over the Turkish Providenza... the Thai Vayu won the second race of the day, his first partial victory... from the one achieved in these same waters in 2022, and is third (Photo Nico Martínez)
The second day of the 52 Super Series Scarlino Sailing Week was developed in a very light and unstable sea breeze scenario that tested the crew's ability to adapt to a constantly evolving scenario. The fleet came out into the water with two teams tied to the front of the classification: the American Quantum Racing powered by American Magic and Sled, both with six points.
The British Gladiator starred in the first test of the day, with a determined bet on the left of the field. The faith of the ship armed by Tony Langley, with Guillermo Parada at the helm, gave its fruit by riding the first beacon of the tour, ahead of the American Sled and also the British Alegre.
The three maintained the vanguard of the fleet under the constant threat of the very rapid Quantum Racing powered by American Magic, which managed to overcome Alegre to add a valuable third behind Gladiator in a downward breeze. Sled's victory allowed the champion of the 52 Super Series and the Rolex TP52 World Championship in 2021 to break the tie with Doug DeVos and ascend to the first provisional position facing Scarlino's fourth test.
The second test started with an off-line Quantum Racing powered by American Magic, an error that complicated the options of the 2022 champion by losing a few very valuable seconds and starting the test with about 300 meters of disadvantage in front of the fleet's head. The Hongkonese Alpha + led the first step by buoy after betting on the left of the field, followed by Thai Vayu (the last two teams to join). A strong wind role in the second stretch was used by Vayu to head and by Providzza to go from tenth to second, positions that they would hold until they crossed the goal. Third ended Andy Soriano's Joy.
Sled returned to Marina di Scarlino as a solid leader after signing the best card of the day (1 + 4), now with five points of advantage over Providenza (6 + 2) and six over Vayu (7 + 1). Quantum Racing powered by American Magic fell from the first to the fourth position, especially penalized by the off-line second sleeve of the day (3 + 10). Sled also led the provisional in Scarlino in 2022 from the second day to the last, when he was overcome by his archirrival.

2023-05-30: 52 Super Series in Scarlino... draw made in USA after the first act

The opening day of the 52 Scarlino Sailing Week premiered the fleet's lockers with a good day of competition that allowed the celebration of two races... Sled won the first and Quantum Racing American Magic the second, giving a tie to the provisional that favors the champion 2022... the first five classified are concentrated in only three points (Photo Nico Martínez)
The second quote of the 52 Super Series 2023... came out in the water with a menu of two tests that could be performed to distribute the first points and start ordering the general classification.
At the first exit of the week, the wind smiled at the teams who chose the right side of the field, with Sled, Paprec and Vayu riding the first step by buoy while Platoon and Alegre were penalized at the beginning of the second stretch, complicating their options. Sled claimed the lead for pure speed and defended it until he signed his first partial victory of the week. The team of the shipowner and tymonel Takashi Okura seems to like Scarlino, where in 2022 he led for three of the five days of race and only fell to Quantum Racing in the final. The second position was the French Paprec, followed by Thai Vayu.
In the second manga, the pulse for the fleet's head was starring Phoenix and Quantum Racing powered by American Magic, who sailed without his tactical John Kostecki for a medical problem. Phoenix, subchampion 2022, signed a discreet ninth in Saint-Tropez, where he sailed from less to more, and arrived in Scarlino with the intention of further advancing positions. On this occasion, the ship of Hasso and Tina Plattner was overcome by the champion 2022 at the end of the first stern and by the Turkish Provizza in the next stretch, but noted a good third that allowed him to ascend to the provisional podium of Scarlino. The victory of Quantum Racing powered by American Magic meant for the American team to close this first day as a leader (by adding 5 + 1), imposing on the rift with its compatriot Sled (1 + 5).
The provisional at the end of the first day shows five teams in three points: The American Quantum Racing powered by American Magic and Sled lead by the minimum to the South African Phoenix, by two points to the Turkish Provider and by three to the Thai Vayu.

2023-03-25: The 52 Super Series circus arrives in Scarlino

The second meeting of the 52 Super Series 2023 will bring together in Italian Tuscany the eleven teams that premiered the season in Saint- Tropez, including the provisional leader, the Provider of the Turkish shipowner Ergin... on the 29 May to 3 June
The first event of the season, held in Saint-Tropez in early May of the 52 Super Series, once again demonstrated the equal that the class has become in recent years. Six of the eleven teams achieved partial victories and the Provizza de Ergin Imre was raised with the title, showing excellent speed in all conditions, especially with a light breezes, doing good exits and sailing clean. Provizza did not need to score any partial victory; he based his triumph on regularity. Only they and Quantum Racing powered by American Magic closed their locker without scoring any 10 or 11 in their locker.
In Saint-Tropez a certain oxidation was noted, especially in the vital exits, even in the equipment with the most established aft structures. But for those who released crew in key positions it was clear that it was especially difficult to make good exits.
The Turkish Provides, arrives in Tuscany with six points of advantage in the general classification, but after eight races disputed in Saint- Tropez, only 11 points separate the first seven ships. The British Gladiator of Tony Langley, with Guillermo Parada at the helm, is tied to points with the second ranked, the American Quantum Racing powered by American Magic. And although there are many possibilities that any of these three teams will win in Scarlino, there are four or five other rivals that could shine in Tuscany waters.
Among them is Andy Soriano's Joy. The British team joined the Australian Olympic champion Will Ryan in Scarlino last year and has Italian navigator Francesco Mongelli. After changing the keel last year, they are recognized as a fast boat with all the necessary components to win a race. A bad last day cost them expensive in Saint- Tropez, but Mongelli believes in the team and that victory in the race will come with time.
