Second edition of the Multihull Rally Race in Port Ginesta

Nautica Digital Europe

This event, organized by the Skipper Nautical Club and Nautical Dissemination, aims to promote our coasts as a catamaran attraction pole... it is an event promoted by Multihull Friendly Marinas, a group of ports specially prepared to host catamarans and trimarans founded by Port Ginesta, Sant Carles Marina and the Nàutic Estartit Club, to which have recently been added Port Adriano and Port Masnou (Photo Torveo)

It has been held in Port Ginesta, Barcelona, the second edition of the Multihull Rally & Race, the only event in Spain open to all types of catamarans and cruise trimarans.

On Saturday the mile launched, in which the participants made several attempts to establish their best time to travel a nautical mile with wind through.

On Sunday the coastal race was organized, a navigation of 18 nautical miles opposite the imposing coast of the Garraf, after which the ceremony of trophy delivery was organized.

Although a global classification is developed by combining the results of the two tests, based on the non-competitive spirit of this sports meeting, all participants receive the same trophy. In that global classification the French team of Olivier and Aurelia Mathey, on board the Sea Moon, Lagoon 39, achieved the first position. The Magic Dragon, Dragon Fly 980, in second position, the Unama, Catana 58, third, and the Nirvana, Lagoon 380, completed the podium.
