The spectacular race conditions that have been experienced this week will last in the memory of the ClubSwan Racing fleet, which has participated in the fourth edition of the The Nations Trophy race in Porto Cervo, Sardinia.

During three days of friendly competition in which a total of seven tests have been held, all with varied but always demanding conditions, The Nations Trophy has offered a memorable experience to the 28 race teams gathered in the prestigious Yacht Club Costa Smeralda, which has managed the race and hosted the magnificent social events on the sea side.

After four days of competition, Italy has proclaimed itself the winner of The Nations Trophy, thanks to the combination of scores of its two best-performing boats - the ClubSwan 50 Vitamin and Cuordileon-, two points ahead of Germany, and with Monaco occupying the last podium square.

In the water, the most difficult competition was seen in ClubSwan class 42, in which the first four classified came to the last day separated by only five points.

The Spanish CS42 Nadir (ESP), owned by the current world champion and current leader of the circuit in his class, Pedro Vaquer Comas, had advanced in the first three days of race, but has been relegated to the second position after the final test held today by Mela (ITA) by Andrea Rossi, which has been made with a tight victory thanks to three first positions in three of the tests. Pez De Abril (ESP), by José María Meseguer has been third.

In the large class ClubSwan 50, the Hatari (GER) of Marcus Brennecke marked a milestone on the first day with two wins in the two trials held and has been able to continue with a succession of podium results to be made with the victory of the class with 13 points of advantage over Vitamin (ITA) of Andrea Lacorte and Courdileone (ITA) of Leonardo Ferragamo.

Also on the ground, the 2023 edition of The Nations Trophy was an event to remember, as it celebrated the 25th anniversary of the acquisition of Nauthor Swan by Leonardo Ferragamo, the establishment of the ClubSwan and the fourth edition of The Nations Trophy, an event in which the number of participating nations increased year after year. Garmin, Quantum, Randstad and YCCS have awarded the daily awards.

In his intervention at the Armors' Dinner held on Friday at the Yacht Club Costa Smeralda, where the shipowners and their guests received an elegant gift from the Ferragamo fashion brand, the main sponsor of the ClubSwan Racing, Leonardo paid tribute to the passion of the regatists of the ClubSwan and to the dedication and experience of the Finnish construction teams.

ClubSwan Racing also wanted to thank YCCS for its commitment to sustainability: in fact the Club has obtained Gold Clean Regatta certification for The Nations Trophy, awarded by Sailors for the Sea.

The three monotypes of ClubSwan Racing - ClubSwan 50, ClubSwan 42 and ClubSwan 36 - will measure forces in separate race fields, in which each of the race yachts will compete to obtain individual points in their class with the ultimate objective of contributing to the overall score of their country both in The Nations Trophy and in the competition of the season The Nations League.

The 2023 edition of The Nations Trophy will also offer a special ground experience with the shipowners' Dinner at the Yacht Club Costa Smeralda. This year, the meeting attended by the owners of the boats and their guests will celebrate the 25th anniversary of the acquisition of Nauthor Swan by Leonardo Ferragamo, as well as the creation of ClubSwan. To commemorate this milestone, guests will receive an exclusive gift courtesy of the fashion brand Ferragamo, Main Partner of ClubSwan Racing.
