On Friday begins the trigésimosta edition of the Joan Guiu Regata, organized by the Reial Club Náutico de Barcelona and the Club Nàutic Ciutadella... the Joan Guiu Regata is a high race for sailing cruises in Solitario, A2 and A3 that is held annually in the waters of Barcelona and Menorca.
This event will serve in turn as a training for the World Orc A Dos (Barcelona ORC Double Handed World Championship 2023) that will be held from 9 to 15 September, organized by the Real Nautical Club of Barcelona.
The list of pre-inscriptions of the Joan Guiu has a dozen cruises, with the largest fleet being the ORC A2, in which the Smerit de Tito Moure, winner of the 49th Conde de Godó Sail Trophy in its category and second of La Regata Larga of the 19th Palmavela, has been registered. On the cruises of a crew member, Zeta of Jaume Mercader... winner of the last edition... will also be Inteman of Daniel Martin and Esther of Eduardo De Las Heras.
On Friday at 12: 00 in the morning the signal of attention will be given, and on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, the competition will be held... The Barcelona-Ciutadella-Barcelona route consists of approximately 215 nautical miles.
This race is part of the official calendar of RFEV being classified for the Spanish Cup of Solitaries and A Dos and is notable for the Campionat de Catalunya de Solitaris and A2 and is organized by the Reial Club Nàutic of Barcelona by delegation of the Royal Spanish Federation of Vela and has the collaboration of the Federació Catalana de Vela and the ARAM.
