During the weekend, the 18th Trophy of Santa Catalina de Vela Ligera was held in Gijón waters for the classes: Optimist, ILCA 4 and 6, RS Feva and Snipe. On Saturday, although it was tried, no manga could be held, due to the lack of wind in the race field in front of the beach of San Lorenzo. On Sunday with a very low wind, it never exceeded 6 knots and roll in the north direction, Northeast was able to finish two sleeves for all classes except for the Optimist, which in the first race did not enter in time.

Therefore, in the Optimist class, with only a disputed race, Marta Simal noted a new triumph in the season followed by, Alma Pérez and Alejandro Fernández.

In ILCA 4, the triumph was for Mateo González after winning the first race and ending in third position the second. For his part, Covadonga Fernández with a third and a second in his locker occupied the second place of the general, closing the podium posts, Marta Suarez with a second and a quarter.

Fernando Alonso in IlCA 6, gave no options to his rivals crossing the line of arrival in first position in the two races. Rafael Bautista with a second and a third held the second position in the general followed by Julio Riba with a fourth and second.

In RS Feva, again the couple formed by Aida Marqués and Carlos Fernández were the best in the two sleeves, increasing their victories in the current season. Miguel Ribera and Hugo Sánchez finished second, with a third and a second, tied to points with the classified third parties, Rodrigo Llanes and Diego Pérez.

In the Snipe class, the triumph was for Alvaro Alegría and Vanesa Rodríguez after a second position was scored on the first sleeve and the closing one was won. Marco and Matilde Fernández were the best in the first race and third in the second, they occupied the second position of the table. The third position was obtained by Sergio González and Alicia Simal, who completed the third and second positions.
