Complicated the day lived today in the regatta field of the EuroILCA Master 2023 of the Club Vela Calella de Palafrugell... in the first test of the day, the ILCA7 was dominated by French Xavier Leclair, followed by Leandro Rosado and José Luis Doreeste.

The French Xavier Leclair, was second, with 7 points, Leandro Rosado, third with 9 points and José Luis Doreste, fourth with 10 points.

In the second manga, the French Leclair shortened the distance further with the Italian, signing a second square (adding 9 points), while the Italian got only a fifth square, which put the French at one point from Cerretelli, who still remained leader with 8 points. The woman Miriam Carles Tolra has been the leader, after the three sleeves disputed, adding a total of 15 points, an important arithmetic distance with the second classified, the Monaqués Devic Pierrik with 21 points. The Italian Andrea Mile goes third with 27 points.

After them, the third square is occupied by the Valencian Luis Eduardo Fernández, with 33 points, to a single point of difference from the Italian Davide Grassi, who with 34 points wants to rise positions in the next days, and to add to the 2023 circuit of the EurILCA Master Series.

Many regatists participating in the Vela Calella Club test have their eyes on the EurILCA Master series, the European 12-test circuit distributed in different European race fields for the ILCA Master class. It began in January on the island of Malta and continued on St. John's. Raphael (France). The third test is the one that is being covered in Calella de Palafrugell, and it is the only one that is disputed in Spain. The circuit will continue this May with the Osland (Belgium) and Bealaka (Netherlands) competition. In June he moved to Sorpresee (Germany), Wolfgansee (Austria) and La Beale (France), to continue in July in Hayling Island (Great Britain), Neuchatel (Switzerland), Travlovlage (Sweden) and to finish in Campiona (Italy), in the race to be held from 20 August to 1 September.

2023-05-04: EurILCA Master 2023... with the inscriptions and controls starts in Calella

In this edition, the most cumbersome test of the European circuit of this kind, has already been over a hundred inscriptions, reaching today the figure of 113 pre-registered regatists

Today the EurILCA Master 2023, the XV Trofeu Calella de Palafrugell- Memorial Pitus Jiménez, which will take place until next Sunday, May 7... the day, reserved for the records of the pre-inscriptions, has been very active, and new regatists have been registered, which were not in the pre-entry list, among others, the Finnish Robert Ronnback, so the number of countries participating in this edition is set at 17, with a total of 116 regatists.

Tomorrow the EuroILCA Master 2023 is opened, the 15th edition of the Trofeu Calella de Palafrugell- Memorial Pitus Jiménez organized by the Club Vela Calella de Palafrugell between 4 and 7 May. The expectation to go to the races is great and 113 masters of the ILCA class from all over Europe have already been registered. To note that for this occasion, athletes from America and Africa have also been registered. For days some are already arriving with their boats at the Club Vela Calella and preparing for the sports date.

Many of the participants have been world champions, Olympic and famous sailors, who are gathered in this test to see each other again, who, like every year, renew emotions and enthusiasm. On this occasion a total of 16 countries are represented, notably the regatists from Spain (41 regatists), France (21), Ireland (8), Great Britain (7), Switzerland (6), Netherlands (6), Italy (5), Sweden (4), Germany (4), Monaco (3), Belgium (2), United States (2), Portugal (1), Argentina (1), Angola (1), Bahamas (1).

To stress that the large inscription of Spanish regatists, where also those who took the podium in the last edition as Monica Azón, Javier Echavarri, José Mª van der Ploeg, Leandro Rosado, will participate.
