Great performance of the Valencian fleet in Laredo

It was held in the waters of Cantabria, by the hand of the Royal Nautical Club of Laredo, the Spanish Championship of 29er, in which the boys of the race team of the Royal Nautical Club of Valencia took up the podium, and only in the last day he escaped to do full absolute.

Until the third day, the three podium squares had a colour of the RCN of Valencia with Elena de Tomás and Obdulia Fernández in the third square, next to the first Momplet tandem and the second Codoñer.

After four days of competition, in a very complicated race field for the 21 registered crews, with very variable wind conditions and able to close a total of 10 tests on 14 scheduled, Sara and Isa Momplet rise with the title of champions of Spain 29th, doing the same Simon and Mateo Codoñer.

The girls have been immeasurable in canteen waters, nothing more and nothing less that they have achieved 8 partial wins over 10 contested races, in the other two they have completed 4th and 2nd in the first and fourth tests respectively. That makes the national complete with 8 points, after two discards. The Codoñer tandem ends with 26 points.

On the back, in femas, silver for the baleares Susana Bestad and Mª Teresa Martín (RCN Palma), with 32 points, while the bronze in this category is left by De Tomas and Fernández, which end up tied with the palms with those 32 points.

As for the children, accompanying the regatists of the RCN of Valencia, they go up to the drawer Santiago Núñez and Ricardo de March (CN Garraf) and the canaries Jaime Lang-Lenton and Diego Power.
