Guillermo Beltri winner of the Torrevieja International Meeting IOM 2023

The control radio race, OIOM class, has been the pre-European trial for this year at the Torreviejense club, fighting this weekend with a total of 22 completed tests, with a qualifying round and a final series... the British Rob Walsh and the Croatian Zvonko Jelacic, next to the Beltri, meet the script, with the three great favorites at the top of the podium
The sixth edition of Torrevieja International Meeting IOM 2023-Pre-Europeans Regatta, with 80 regatists from 6 countries, closes a special edition. The emblematic Radio Control race in the Torrevieja RCN is closed with a positive and interesting test for that 1-metre European championship that will take place in the Torrevieja club in just five months: 7-13 October.
The race has had a greater interest even if it is the one that already has the Meeting IOM of Torrevieja, so in these four days, three of competition, the Torreviejense club has brought together the best international fleet, with the best regatists in Europe.
Three days with different wind conditions, which in general have been good for a total of 22 tests. For the first time, in this race, the system of qualifying rounds and final series has been put in place: gold and silver group. A very equal and tight race, if you give up an inch of space in the race field.
The favorites have not failed, so the forecasts and possible podiums have been fulfilled. In this case, the local Guillermo Beltri (RCN de Torrevieja) has been made with the final triumph, leaving the trophy at home. Beltri has added a total of 47 points, after applying 2 discards in the qualifying round and 2 in the final. In his locker, there are six partial wins over that 22 closed evidence.
In the podium have been accompanying him two other great regatists of the IOM fleet, of the best of the international panorama of this model of boat and competition. The British Rob Walsh, second with 55 points, and the Croatian Zvonko Jelacic, bronze with 57 points. Very equal the three regatists.
The top ten is closed in Spanish, and also within the plan. Ginés Romero (RCN Torrevieja) has been fourth with 64 points, followed by Carlos Beltri (CN Villa de San Pedro), 73 ptos; Juan Marcos Agea (CN Dos Mares), 76 ptos.; José Carreño (CN Los Nietos), 103 ptos.; Juan Francisco Chumilla (RCN Torrevieja), with 129 ptos.; Alfonso Buendia (CN Alicante Costa Blanca), 131 points and closing these ten best classified ones is the José Rico (RMálaga) that has added 142 points.
A trophy has been given to the first classified in the Silver group, Francisco José Cayuela of the CN de Altea, which has concluded in that position with a total of 110 points.
