The Swan Croatia Challenge has opened the ClubSwan Racing season this week, with a wide variety of weather and wind conditions that have offered an exceptional race to the powerful fleet of 10 Monotypes ClubSwan 36.
Based on the ACI Navy, in the historic Croatian port of Split, the Adriatic received the teams with the classic wind "Bora" - a strong breeze of the north - which soon dawned to offer ideal conditions of race, which were repeated on the second day.
On the contrary, the third and penultimate day of this first race of The Nations League 2023 had a light breeze that forced the crews to demonstrate their skill and tactical knowledge in low wind races. Finally, the lack of wind today, Saturday, on the last day of competition, has prevented further testing.
But the G Spot of Giangiacomo Serena di Lapigio, the ClubSwan 36 of Monegasque flag had already shown that it is one of the ships to beat this season, by making the victory in the five trials disputed.
For its part, the Cuordileone (ITA) of Edoardo Ferragamo, the Fra Martina (ITA) of Edoardo and Vanni Pavesio, the Goddess (GER) of Nikolai P. Burkart, the Farstar (ITA) of Lorenzo Mondo, the Mamao (BRA) of Haakon Lorentzen and the Black Seal (GGY) of Richard Thompson achieved at least one podium position during the race each, keeping at stake two of the first three positions until the last test.
