The Iberdrola League of Women's Sailing 2023 has started with the participation of eight teams in the first weekend of the race that has taken place at the Royal Calpe Nautical Club... in which there was only competition on Saturday... because on Sunday the fog prevented it.
On the first and only day of the race, the Team Baleària Real Club Nautico de Palma, led by María Bover, imposed itself with force before the rest of the crews and managed to win the seven races in which he participated.
The female fleet will be reunited in a month, from 19 to 21 May, at the Royal Maritime Club of the Abra-Real Sporting Club. On this occasion the organizing club will make available to the crews the well-known J80, in which the Iberdrola League of last year was fully disputed.

The Calpe Nautico has brought together eight teams with a high diversity of profiles
First day in the waters of the Valencia Community, to host the Iberdrola League in its inaugural event in this season... with a host of real luxury... the Royal Nautical Club of Calpe.

In the last compass of the day, the Dorsia Covirán has reacted with three consecutive victories to be the second position of the provisional general. The third square, for the moment, is held by the team of the Regatas Alicante, tying to points with the Nautico de Calpe.
Tomorrow the eight teams participating in this first meeting of the Iberdrola League 2023 will be measured again under the imposing Peñón de Ifach to make known the first podium of a League that will be held in a total of five headquarters.

The Iberdrola League of Women's Sailing lifts the curtain this weekend with the race organized by the Royal Nautical Club of Calpe, in which eight teams will be faced on board the Tom28 ships that the club makes available to the participants.
In front of the host crew of the RCN Calpe will be the launchers of the Code Zero of Simona Manfredini, CN Altea de Gracia Suárez, Dorsia Covirán led by Natalia Via-Dufresne, RCN Madrid with Elena Raga in front, RCN Palma de María Bover, RCN Valencia de Juliana Miñana and the RCR Alicante de Berta Campos.
In Calpe there will be eight teams of crews of five regatists, and at least three of them are to be maintained in the rest of the scheduled appointments in order not to be considered as a new crew.
Olympic medalists, national sailing team athletes, young promises and emerging figures will be measured during a weekend when equality is expected to be maximum due to the competition format. Today, Friday 21, the teams will have a first contact with the Tom28 monotypes, which they will compete with on Saturday and Sunday.
With part of medium winds, the competition will take place during the days of Saturday and Sunday, with short races of about 10-15 minutes in a series of clashes that will lead the first classification of the Iberdrola League.
The Circuit will be completed with the tests of RCMA-RSC Getxo (20-21 May), RCN Madrid (10-11 June) and CN Arenal (9-10 September), to conclude with the great final that will take place in the Real Club de Regatas de Alicante between 20 and 22 October... the Iberdrola League is also constituted as the Spanish Championship of Women's Sailing.
