As in previous editions the race will be sponsored by the Diputación de Huelva and the Cabildo Insular de la Gomera, and on this occasion the organization will again be in charge of the Royal Club Marítimo and Tennis de Punta Umbria

After a five-year stop... thanks to the agreement reached between Diputación de Huelva, El Cabildo Insular de la Gomera and the Real Club Marítimo and Tennis de Punta Umbria will be held the 3th edition of the Regata Huelva- The Gomera to the Estela de Colón, where the participants will travel the 750 nautical miles that separate the Colombian island from the onubense port, reviving the first trip that Cristóbal Colón made to America in 1492, during which he made his first scale on the Canary Island.

The Regata will have exit from the waters of Punta Umbria on Saturday, September 2, and the time limit of arrival to the Port of San Sebastián de la Gomera will be September 9.

As in previous editions the first fifteen registered ships will have a return aid of three thousand euros, once they have finished the race in the gomer port within the time limit set by the announcement of races.

The last winners were the GP 42 Marina Rúkón-Doñana in 2017, while in 2018 the win was for the TP52 Sirius Ví-Doñana, of the Spanish Navy and patronized by Jorge Flethes, followed by the Adrián Hotels of the Tinerfeño Daniel Adrián and the Galbula of Pedro Gonzalo.
