Today the presentation of the Spanish Championship of the youth class 420, which will be held from 4 to 9 April next, under the organization of this entity, was held in the facilities of the Real Club Náutico de Gran Canaria.
This national event has a registration of 60 boats, with crews representing the communities of Baleares, Catalonia, Galicia, Cantabria, Andalusia, Valencia and Canarias.
This is an intermediate class, between the optimist initiation ship and the Olympic ship 470. A total of 12 tests distributed in 4 days of competition (6-9 April) are planned after a previous day of registration control and ship measurement.
The canary club already organized this national meeting in 2018, where its team managed to occupy the three podium posts... on this occasion, this team also presents two crews with great options to obtain the title, such as the current world champions the Laiseca sisters and the male crew composed of Jaime Ayarza and Mariano Hernández, bronze in the 2021 World Championship and European Champions of the same year.
