A few days ago, in the celebration of a new edition of the Gala de la Vela Gallega, in As Pontes de García Rodríguez, we remembered in a special tribute all those people linked to our sport who, during the past year, left us. There was nothing to warn that today, in writing these lines, we would have to say good-bye to a whole teacher, Chuco Pérez- Lafuente... to one of the brightest technicians who has given the Spanish candle in recent decades; who did a simply exceptional work, in which it was the last earthly singlature: the Royal Nautical Club of La Coruña.
Officer and Judge of Regatas is going to leave us a deep mark, because it is going to cost us the idea that we will no longer have it with us, on board a ship in the countless races of his dear Galicia or with his wise advice as part of a Committee.
Chuco begins a new journey on Father's Day, in which many of us who dedicate ourselves to this exciting sport are already orphaned without his presence.
