Country Cup Basque: 3 days, 6 stages, 450 km an adventure!

All stages will begin and end in Getaria, with the exception of the second day, when the first stage of the day will be completed in Lekeitio. After a break, they will return to launch all the pilots who will sail until they reach the base in Getaria
The first edition of the Country Cup, organized by the Basque Federation of Nautical and Motononautical Skiing in Getaria with the support of the UFDV-EKFB and Euskal Selekzioa, is coming... from 24 to 26 March an international motononautics test will be held where stages of the Offshore and Endurance modality will be held. Three days, six stages, 450 kilometers. An affair.
Resistance and strength in pilots are the main themes of these modalities, challenged by extreme conditions that demand the latter in physical condition, skill and some luck. They are made in open waters near the coast and are divided into multiple stages. The resistance test of Getaria's water bikes will be the official appointment career of the Euskal Selekzioa of Motonautica, where the Basque pilots will fight to be at the top of the podium. They will be surrounded by the best pilots at the international level, who will come to fight the race and give their best during the three days of competition.
In the case of this first edition of the Country Cup Basque, the test will be divided into six stages developed throughout the weekend. They will travel all the Basque coast from Hondarribia to Bermeo, turning in territories such as Donosti, Orio, Zarautz, Lekeitio and Elantxobe.
It will be an average of 70 kilometres per non-stop stage. It will start on Friday morning, ending on Sunday afternoon. Four of them will enter the Offshore mode of long distances. The two remaining within the Endurance mode, with a slightly shorter tour, which you will have to make until you have 40 minutes plus a turn. These are the most demanding types of motoronautics.
It will be mandatory for all pilots to carry a GPS support device installed on their bike, and to include in it the key coordinates of each stage. They will be published by race direction before the event starts. A safety transponder will also be delivered to each participant, who must carry them.
These beacons will send the position of each of the pilots via telephone and satellite. In this way, you can follow the evolution of all participants in real time from the security office and through a screen placed on the paddock. You can know their speeds, if they are standing, receive alerts from SOS buttons, etc.
It will also be supported by the Red Cross team, both on land and at sea, which will be present along each and every route. There will also be support for private vessels in the water, included within the event's own organization. A helicopter will be provided with air security support.
