April Green, April Red and Estonia Delight took the first three squares of the first act of the Vilallia J70 Spring Series, which were organized by the class, with the support of the Royal Nautical Club of Vigo; it was held this weekend in the waters of the viguese ría. In competition J70 with crews from all over Spain and Portugal, as well as the Estonian national team of this class with its two Olympic medals in front: the Töniste brothers.
The victory of the J70 that patron Luis Pérez Canal was very clear with some solvent partials: two first, three third and two quarters... an Orensian cane that had the participation in his team of the patron of The Ocean Race, the Herculino Chuny Bermudez de Castro; having as crew the Vigo regatists Juan Cominges, Luis da Rocha and the one who was the champion of Spain of Laser, Chapu Torné.
It should be noted that the usual president of the Villalia regatta committee, the Coruñés Jaime García... left the baton to another Herculino: Carlos Sardiña, who was very good; managed to organize seven sleeves in the two days: the four on Saturday and the three on Sunday, which were won by Seneca de Guillermo Alonso, Marnatura 1 of Laureano Wizner and April Verde of Luis Pérez Canal, with winds that did not reach the ten knots of southern component.
The second final square was for Jorge Pérez Canal, who sailed with Eduardo Reguera, José Luis Colmenero, Pablo Espinosa and Gonzalo Martínez. Jorge competed at a high level with partial positions between the second and the eighth. He completed the podium of this first act of the Villalia J70 Spring the first national team of the class with the Estonian Olympic medals, the Töniste brothers... being the fourth square for Guillermo Alonso with his Seneca.
The veteran Vigo cane has managed to gather a young crew of many carats, in which are Alberto Basadre, Alejandro Prego and Francisco Catalán (from the Marítimo de Canido and the Real Club Náutico de Vigo)
In the fifth square Ramón Ojea with Pazo de Cea, also in an excellent line... that left behind La Guardia & Moreira of one of the great ones, as is Gonzalo Araújo, who in two of the sleeves was disqualified from off-line, and other canals of post following: the pattern of America's Cup and Vuelta al Mundo, the Andaluz established in Vigo Laureano Wizner with Marnatura 1... and the J70 of the Real Nautical Club of Barcelona with three world champions of J80 abordo: Luis Noticia de Martín.
It is important to highlight the good races of the Lusian female crew that with Francisca Barros to the controls, he managed to enter the top ten in struggle with the male elite crews (after the Sailway Academy of Alejandro Pérez del Maríitmo de Canido), overcoming the J70 of Sail Cascais of Vasco Sherpa and of the Estonian Margus Uudbam, as well as the Vigues of the Valmy Atlántica and the Correa Kessler... all of the level crews.
Now on April 15 and 16 the second and last act of the Villalia J70 Spring Series, which will first give way to the Galicia Championships of J70 and J80 that will be held together in May in the Ria de Vigo... and as a luxury dessert to the Spanish Championship of J70, which will surely be held in Galicia in June.

April Green with the Orensian pattern Luis Pérez Canal a la rea, which had the competition of the great Coruñés ocean navigator Chuny Bermudez de Castro, as well as the Viguese Juan de Cominges, Luis da Rocha and Chapu Torné; is the provisional leader of the Villalia J70 Spring Series that yesterday organized by the J70 Class with the support of the Royal Nautical Club of Vigo, began in Galician waters.
Spectacular the day in which the south-west winds of just over 15 knots reigned throughout the almost two hours in which it was competed, with an average duration of 40 minutes for each of the four sleeves held. By Sunday from 10: 30 in the morning, the event will be completed with four other tests, of this event which is the antelase of the Spanish Championship of the class J70.
The competition began at the edge of the one and a half of the afternoon in the northern part of the Vigo River, near the town of Cangas, and it is necessary to highlight the conditions of wind and sea, which led to a beautiful day, in which the only incidents were two line paths, in which it was third manga, which they had to deal with the leadership of the La Guardia & Moreira y Noticia, as a result of off-line paths, which deprived them of being at the end of the sabatina day in podium... however the situation could vary dramatically along the course of the Sunday, since each of the worst manga... you can take off your score...
The partial victories on the opening day were for the Estonian Olympic medal Tönu Toniste that achieved two first with its Estonia Deligth, the Green April one and the J70 of Gonzalo Araújo with another.
In the general table, it stands out April Verde with 11 points, the result of a great regularity: 4 ° -3 ° -3 ° -1, followed by the boat of Töniste with a sixth, two first and a ninth... closing the provisional podium the other pattern of the City of Burgas, the Jorge Pérez Canal, which accumulates just one point more than the Estonian medals.
After them, La Guardia & Moreira, followed by a great Pazo de Cea de Ramón Ojea and a surprising Séneca SW, who with Guillermo Alonso to the commanders continues to a great level, and who for the time being overcomes one of the great favorites, the Noticia del Real Club Náutico de Barcelona, who with Luis Martín Cavíedes is seventh, just ahead of the very young patron Alejandro Pérez who continues to progress with his Sailway Academy, which has a group of canterans from his club, the Maritimo de Canido, del Náutico de Vigo, Pedro and La Sáutio de La Sáutio (Luis y La Láudia). A crew with a lot of youth and carats.
For the second day Sunday beginning at 10: 30 in the morning. For the moment the Galician fleet dominates the powerful lisboeta squadron, in the Villalia J70 Spring Series at the end of the first day.
