Two months from the beginning, the rate is high and the atmosphere is extraordinary.

The most prominent European masters who compete in the ILCA class are already pre-registered in the next edition of the EurolCA Master 2023 race, which will be held in Calella de Palafrugell from 4 to 7 May.

The international representation of athletes is also ensured, with a large group of Irish, British, German, French, Dutch, Belgian and Swiss regatists. The first to be entered in the list of entries was the former Swiss regatist of the Circle of the Voile of Neuchâtel, Jacques Perret, in the category ILCA6 Legend. In this category, highlight the participation for the first time of the Portuguese regatist Manuel de Melo Champalimaud of the Naval Club of Cascais.

Both will compete with two references of the Master Legend candle, regatist of the Club Vela Calella, Miquel Alvarez, and the Dutch Hans Holterman of the club WV Aegir. Also highlight the participation of the Bahamas island regatist Peter Vlasov, who will first come to this test, in the category ILCA Master.

To highlight the presence of the French, and well-known international ocean navigator, Bruno Peyron, in ILCA6 Great Master, the British Tim Law, the Salcombe Club, in ILCA7 Great Grand Master and also the English Alan Davis of the Parkstone Yacht Club.

Among other prominent regatists present in Calella de Palafrugell are those who were Spanish Olympic, such as José María van der Ploeg of the CN El Balís, who sails in the category ILCA7 Grand Master, Monica Azón in ILCA6 Woman, Miguel Noguer of the CN El Masnou, in the category ILCA6 Great Master, José Luis Doreeste, of the CN Port of Aro in ILCA7 Great Master or Javier Echavarri of the RCM Santander in the class ILCA7.

In the Woman category, apart from the Monica Azón, which defends the title of the CVC test obtained last year, in both the absolute and the female category, this year will have as rivals, waiting for new female pre-inscriptions, Catalan Silvia Ravetlat, German Alexandra Behrens and French Claudine Tatibouet.

In its eighteen years of existence, this international race for masters has become an indisputable milestone of the ILCA class calendar, which brings together the most prominent figures on the European and international scene.
