J80 Valencia Winter Series: BC Fertilis wins second act and Iser is leader

The J80 Winter Series of Valencia, closes a new chapter in the hand of the Royal Nautical Club, second of the four planned. It does so with three tests completed on Saturday and one on Sunday, a day marked by the total absence of the wind, although and already over the time limit the committee was able to launch the only test of the day, fourth in the global computation.

On Saturday day, with good wind conditions in general lines the favorites were in front. In this line BC Fertilis Sailing Team by Pablo Raúl Riera was scored the first two, while in the third of the day it ended in the fifth square. ISER, by Manuel de Tomas, after a DNS in the first one, reposing in the following two: 2-1. From behind, the fleet was very irregular. Fermax 2-5-3, while T10 Sailing Team harvested three quarters.

With a zero wind early on Sunday and almost the time limit, the committee was able to close a test, fourth in this second delivery. The duel was again focused on the J80 ISER and the BC Fertilis Sailing Team. The monotype of De Tomas concluded second and that of Riera first, the third in this second delivery.

With this, and the results obtained on January 21 and 22, Iser is placed leader in the provisional absolute general, closed with 8 tests, adding 12 points, follows BC Fertilis Sailing Team with 13; T10 Sailing, by Laura Morata, has 25; ESP102, led by Eduardo Valderas, adds 30 and closing the top five Moner Joyeros, by Javier Moner, with a total of 37 points... the third delivery of the J80 Winter Series, will be held on March 11 and 12.

The President Trophy, for the ORC Cruise fleet, was facing the second of the four on the show on Sunday. At 1100 hours the fleet was in the 'Manel Casanova' race area. After more than three hours waiting for the wind to arrive, the committee decided to send the fleet to the ground without being able to launch the planned test.

On March 12, the ORC Cruise, within the framework of the President Trophy, will be fighting the third test. M8 in ORC 2, Neurored in ORC 3-5 and TOM1 RCNV in Promotion lead their respective categories.
