Olympic Week: Ana Moncada and David Ponseti Spanish champions ILCA6
The class ILCA 6 already has new Spanish champions, after closing today in the RCN of Torrevieja the fourth and final day. David Ponseti (CN Ciutadella) and Ana Moncada have been made with the national title, after three more tests were completed today in the final round, thus completing the planned six-test program.
One last very equal delivery in which the champion was not known until the last test. Cristina Pujol started the leader and in the first test signed a fourth. Ana Moncada, for her part, signed her worst partial in Torrevieja: 17. In the second they both concluded very equal, 10th the Catalan and 7th the Andalusian.
The results in this second test were to decline the balance in favor of Moncada, given the partial results in the qualifying round and what we had in the end. In the last trial Pujol closed its participation with a 3rd and 6th Moncada, enough for the sevillana to stay with the national scepter with 24 points for 29 of the Catalan.
It was also very much the same in boys. Dani Cardona (RCN Palma) had part of the path made, but there was still this last day on which David Ponseti (CN Ciutadella) has been much more successful. Partial figures of 14-8-1 sentenced the title in favor of Ponseti. On the contrary, for the S'Arenal shooting today it has not been your day. With partials of 13-21-23 the title has even escaped the podium options.
A podium that has been closed in the national with Ponseti, Max Urquizu (CN Salou) and Pedro J. Conde (RCN Palma), while in SUB19 the variant has been with Conde, which has been second and Urquizu third.
The podiums in the women's Spanish championship have been closed with Ana Mocada, Cristina Pujol and Martina Reino (RCN Gran Canaria). In SUB21 Margarida Perelló (CN S'Estanyol) has been a champion, followed by María Martínez (RCR Santiafo de la Ribera) and Adriana Castro (RCN Torrevieja). Perelló and Castro repeated podium in SUB19, first and second respectively, while bronze has been for Aina Garau (CN S'Arenal).
The ILCA fleet has been able to complete a total of five tests in these three days, enough to be able to crown the new Olympic Week 2023 champions. In ILCA SUB16 the title has been for Clara Shopie García and Jorge Santos, both of the CN Altea. In SUB18, Ukrainian Alina Shapolova and Belgian Cédric D'Hondt have been champions. Oskar Madonna (Ukraine), for its part, has been the winner in ILCA 7.

Cristina Pujol of the Nàutic Port D'Aro is the leader of the last day of the Spanish championship ILCA 6 that has been playing since last Thursday in the RCN of Torrevieja, ending on Sunday, February 12. A third day that has been much harder than yesterday's, with a lot of deep sea causing waves that have exceeded the two meters, wind that has remained almost all the day in the 15 knots of intensity on a axis of 070º, all accompanied by several important chubascos in full race.
The key to Pujol has been its regularity and strength, keeping in the top 'five' in each of the disputed trials, fighting hard with the boys, especially in the first test of the day with Italian Massimiliano Antoniazzi and Slovenian Luka Zabukovec.
In the second one who has stepped in depth the accelerator has been the Andalusian Ana Moncada, who after a fourth place in the first needed a good partial to stay up and with options to the title. Moncada came to this leading day.
Pujol, for his part, was able to take advantage of that second delivery in which the wind was a slight truce, in terms of its intensity, signing a second third place. In the last one he closed the day with a fourth place, his worst partial in Torrevieja and he was going to take off, so he remains in front of the general with 16 points.
The Andalusian Moncada, after that deserved and partial triumph work, was not so right on the third day and that 17 in her locker was going to deprive her of being one more day in front of the ILCA 6 fleet, given the results of Pujol. It ends with 22 points to 6 of Pujol.
For the Canaria Martino Reino (RCN Gran Canaria) this has not been your best day. After the good partials with which he reached the final series (1-3-2) in the first test of the day he reached the 16th place on arrival. He was also not better off in the next two, concluding 9 and 18. These numbers leave the third canary with 33, quite far from Pujol and 11 from Moncada.
When the children, Dani Cardona (CN S'Arenal) has taken a giant step today in Torrevieja in its goal of getting the national scepter, even though their numbers have not been 'spectacular', but they are sufficient to obtain an 11-point profit on the second in the category, square occupied by David Ponseti (CN Ciutadella) and 15 on the third: Joan Tomas- Verdera Frontera (CN C'an Pascita).
The Italian Massimiliano Antoniazzi is already virtual champion of the VIII Comunitat Valenciana Olympic Week. The transalpine is second to the absolute general, adding 17 points, for the 26 with which the Slovenian Luka Zabukovec counts, occupying the fourth square.
Oskar Madonna, new leader in the ILCA 7
The ILCA 7 fleet has completed four tests today, three of the day plus one of recovery from the previous day. The discards and results of each have made the classification a major turn. In this sense the Ukrainian Oskar Madonich, with four partial triumphs, yesterday finished ninth, is located leader of the group with 4 points, to 7 figure the Slovenian Ivan Vakhrushev while the Spanish Rafael Lora (CN Villa de San Pedro) is provisional bronze with 13 points.
Triple tie on the head of the ILCA 4 fleet, with two completed tests
The ILCA 4 has debuted at the Olympic Week. Today they were able to close the day with two completed tests. Joan Fargás (CN Cambrils) is first, thanks to that partial triumph in the first test. In the second I was finished fifth. A number that leave it with 6 points in total.
A score also repeated by the British Archie Munro-Price and the Catalan Guillem de Llanos (CN Sant Feliu de Guixols). The first of them with 4-2 and the second 2-4. Both Fargás and Munro-Price and De Llanos have sailed in the same red group.
Tomorrow, the fourth day for ILCA 6 and the third day for ILCA 4 and ILCA 7, in which three other tests are planned. It is not ruled out to be able to do any more for the 4 and 7.
2023-02-10: Pol Núñez (ILCA6) and Mariano Cebrián (ILCA7) leaders in Torrevieja
Very complicated day in Torrevieja. Second day for the ILCA 6 and premiere for the ILCA 7, as the ILCA 4 have been left blank. A single test for the fleet that the national title of the class is played, although it has allowed to reach that fourth test and with them the discard on the one hand, which involves and affects the general classification, and on the other allowing to close the qualifying round and give way to the final series.
In a very complicated race field the favorites have done their best for their interests. The Canaria Martina Reino (RCN Gran Canaria) has worked hard to sign a more than deserved second place in the yellow group. A result that a priori was good for you to stay up, as a leader, especially after discarding.
But the canary was to have the blue and white group, in which were the sevillana Ana Moncada and the Catalan Cristina Pujol (CN Port D'Aro). The first in his group sealed a partial triumph, the second in Torrevieja. The second a third after fighting with two hard bones: Pol Núñez (RCN Gran Canaria) and Dani Cardona (CN S'Arenal) first and second respectively in their group.
These partial results in the three groups, together with the discard plus those obtained in the three tests in the inaugural day, make the Sevillian Ana Moncada lead the final series, with two days ahead and 4 points in its locker.
With a single difference the canary Kingdom is placed, sum 5, while Pujol is fourth of the absolute general, counting on its having 7 points. In the middle of the fight of these regatists is the Italian Massimiliano Antoniazzi, third with 6 points. The first Spanish, who appears as a leader in the national ILCA 6 is the canary Pol Núñez (RCN Gran Canaria) 7th of the absolute general with 10 points, the same as the David Ponseti (CN Ciutadellla).
With a complete test, the wind has not let do more, Mariano Cebrián (CN Benidorm) is placed leader, followed by Rafael Lora (CN Villa de San Pedro) and provisional bronze for Tadeo Samorodny (RCR Alicante)
The ILCA 4 fleet, with almost 100 registered, after 11.30 hours was made to the race field in order to be able to navigate and complete one of the three planned tests. The wind has not allowed them to close even one, even in spite of the attempts of the race committee.

First day of the Spanish championship ILCA 6 that hosts and organizes the RCN of Torrevieja, within the program of the Comunitat Valenciana Olympic Week. A first delivery that has not failed in any way, both the weather and the protagonists, with the great favorites in front of the fleet.
The Canaria Martina Reino (RCN of Gran Canaria) has set itself a leader in the Spanish championship, after closing its participation on this first day with partials of 1-3-2 within the group Azul. The Olympic Cristina Pujo (CN Port D'Aro) has also been located above the table. The Catalan, which has sailed in the Yellow fleet, concludes this' third 'day, although that is, tied to 7 points with the Italian Massimiliano Antoniazzi, in the group of Kingdom. The difference and that has marked the final position on the table as second has been by the Antoniazzi partials, with 5-1-1, while Pujol has signed 3-2-2.
The equality between the fleet has been maximum in this national start-up in torreviejese waters, in a complicated field of races, with much current, a high wave and deep sea, a slight rain and a wind that has ranged between 9- 15 knots on an axis that has gone from 015 to 030 °.
This equality is evident in the positions of the table between the top ten, with a very short margin and with several empates. David Ponseti (CN Ciutadella), a candidate for the national title, is fourth with 10 points, highlighting a partial triumph in the last test of the day in the Yellow group.
Max Uriquizu (CN Salou) is fifth, followed by Giulio Zunino (CN Garraf) and Karol Krupski (CV Port D'Andratx), both with 13 points, while Croatian Anton Messeritsch and the Dani Cardona (CN S'Arenal) ballet, occupy the 8th and 9th places respectively, and both with 14 points. The top ten is closed with the Dutch Hidde Schraffordt with one more point. So are the classifications:
