Daniela Mariño and María Núñez, subchampions in the 420 class and best female crew

The Royal Nautical Club of Vigo put the final point to a new edition of the Ria de Vigo Light Sailing Trophy with a victory of its fleet (Vaurien) and another shared with Mount Real (Snipe), after two days of competition in the Vigo Ria, the Dominican being the most intense.

Because the fleet of Vaurien, Snipe and 420 was able to hover only one manga on Saturday, with a wind of 215 and just 6 knots. The competition of this race gave effect to the trophy, but this Sunday the Regatas Committee managed to give up to four exits (in Vaien and 420) thanks to a more working Eolo: they reached 15-17 knots in the 60, then down to 8 knots in the 55.

Thus, following the Sabatine victories of Pablo Cabello and Iria Eguía (RCN Vigo) in Vaurien, Victor Mariño (MRCY Baiona) and Gerardo Prego (RCN Vigo) in Snipe and Pablo Rodríguez (RCN Rodeira) and Pablo Llorens (RCN Coruña) in 420, the fleet was willing to fight for the trophy... but the first leaders were able to maintain command.

Rodríguez and Llorens, leaders of the Galician ranking, added to their first win two more consecutive partial wins, so an off-line (UFD) in the fourth race, already with the entrance of the discard, did not affect their leadership. Both finished the series with a third place and 6 final net points, two of advantage over Daniela Mariño and María Núñez (RCN Vigo), which did not contest the fifth race and added 8 points (2-2-1- [DNC]). Pablo Rodríguez and Pablo Llorens also imposed themselves in the sub-19 classification, with Mariño and Núñez women's champions. In sub-17, triumph for Pedro Casas and Pablo Barreiro (RCN Sanxenxo).

Vaurien

The leader of the Galician ranking, Pablo Cabello, was imposed with his new proel showing a great regularity (1-2- [3] -1-2, 6 points). After the third manga, Tone Pérez and Sara Serrano (RCN Vigo) approached one point, but Cabello decided to win in the fourth race and "Tone" had to conform to the third final podium drawer (3-3- 1- [4], 10 points). Second, Nacho Campos and Yolanda Bastos (CD Alagua) finished, with 10 net points (2- [5] -2-5-1), solving the tie with "Tone" on the final sleeve. The female triumph, for Ana de Fatima and Marta Reboredo (RCN Vigo). In sub-19, the victory of Nicolás González and Martín Pérez (RCN Vigo).

Snipe

The I Trophy Julio Rasilla, donated by the family and that will have a perpetual character, lived a change of provisional leader after the second race, with a victory of Enrique Porto and Santiago Cabello (RCN Vigo), who placed them ahead with the same points (4) as the couple Mariño-Minor. But in the third race, with the triumph of Javier Rasilla and Pablo Viana (RCN Vigo) and second place for Víctor Mariño and Gerardo Prego, they would again command the general so as not to give in (1- [4] -2-1, 4 net points). Porto and Cabello finished subchampions ([4] -1-3-4, 8 points), while Javier Porto and Andrés Jiménez (RCN Vigo / RCN Rodeira) were third parties, paying their offline ([13] -2-4-2, 8 points).
