Melilla decides the new Spanish champions of Children and Youth Techno

Very bad luck for the Organization and the mass of participants... because the wind did not add to the strength of all in Melilla, to initialize the event successfully... The Spanish Techno 293 and iQFOiL children and youth has concluded this Saturday in the autonomous city of Melilla, with a bittersweet taste by having completed only four sleeves in the Techno classes.

This Saturday, the last day of the championship, the weather conditions have again marked the competition, with a low wind of 055th and average intensity of six knots, with which two more tests for the Techno classes have been performed before reaching the time limit. In this way, the final classifications have been closed with a total of four registered races.

OIivia Sánchez (CN Sevilla) and Francisco Bleda (CN s'Arenal) in Techno sub13, Lidia Pousa (CN de Cangas) and Hugo Colomar (CS Formentera) in Techno sub15, Nara Heinz (CN Santa Eulàlia) and Bruno Bárbara (RCN Gran Canaria) in Techno sub17, together with Samuel Sánchez (C.Windsurfing Hispanic French Valencia) and Elena Paya (RCM Melilla) in Techno Plus, are the new class champions.

In Techno Sub13, the Francisco Bleda Ballet has been raised with the first place, followed by Iñaki Portella and Rodrígo Gómez.

In female sub13, Olivia Sánchez dominated the category with two new first who assured him of the title of Spanish champion. Patricia Orosa held the second position, while Alenadra Terrasa managed to secure the bronze, taking it from Mireia Jordi in the last test.

Lindia Pousa, of the Galician Federation, rose with the victory in sub15, surprising all its rivals with two first positions and moving from third to first. The second position was maintained by Mia Berazategui, while at the third step of the podium the canary Martina Barbara, to the detriment of Gala Fornes, who began the provisional leading day and in the end ran out of medals.

In male sub15, Hugo Colomar and Enrique Parres, although they did not enter the first positions if they managed to stay first and second respectively. In the last minute, Max Conselvo was entering third, unlocking Gonzalo Ruiz from the podium.

Nara Heinz has won the title of Spanish champion in Techno sub17. While Laura Béjar and Alejandra López- Amado have changed the positions regarding the previous day, to be silver and bronze respectively.

Bruno Barbara of the Canary Islands has reached the first place in male sub17, renewing the national title achieved last season. The silver has been for Fabio González, recovering a position with respect to the previous day, while Ángel Escudero has climbed to the third place.

The Valencian Samuel Sánchez is the new Spanish champion of Techno Plus, as well as the Melillense Elena Paya.

2023-02-03: The third was the defeat... starts the National of Techno and iQFoil children and youth

The Committee has managed to save the day by making the decision to lift Delta on the ground at 13: 00, for almost three hours after starting the first exit procedure. Carlos Muñoz and his team of beacons mounted the 070º tour with an intensity of five knots, to give the pistoletazo to the Championship. For the second test, the route had to be repositioned with the output at 080º and with a variable intensity between five and six knots

The competition organized by the Real Club Marítimo de Melilla and the Real Federación Española de Vela has been able to start partially today, since only the units of the Techno 293 and Plus classes have competed.

Meanwhile, the iQFoil fleet has remained on the ground, at the facilities of the Royal Melilla Maritime Club, waiting for the wind intensity to be the minimum required for them to start the championship.

Two sleeves in the Techno 293 and Techno Plus classes that serve to establish the provisional leaders of the competition, in the absence of a day, that of this Saturday from 11: 00.

The first leaders in the sub15 category of Techno 293 are Gala Fornés and Hugo Colomar, both of the CN Formentera. While in sub17, Nara Heinz and Bruno Barbara have placed themselves leaders of their age group.

In Techno Plus, Samuel Sánchez has placed himself in front of the class after signing a first and a second place, while Blanca Briganti stands out among the women.

The competition will take place on Saturday its last day, with the forecast of little wind and the time of beginning 11: 00 am... the closing from 8: 00 am.

2023-02-02: nationals of Melilla de Techno and iQFoil children and youth... without wind

The fleet of Techno and iQFoil children and youth has been back on the ground on which it should be the second day of competition of the Spanish Championship

Little wind and some rain have been the undesired protagonists of the second day of the Spanish Techno 293 and iQFoil Children and Youth Championship organized by the Royal Melilla Maritime Club.

Yesterday, Wednesday, the start of the competition was planned but, like today, the wind was not enough. Two blank days press the remaining calendar to the race, with two new days ahead and the national title as the final goal.

Although the wind looked like it was going to accompany after noon, at 13: 00, a blur came in that broke the Committee's ideas, which finally ended at 15: 30.

The RCM of Melilla, an organizer of the test, has brought together more than 140 regatists from several points in Spain. Andalusia, with over 40 regatists, is the community with more representatives in the field of the melillense race.

It is followed by the team of the Balearic Islands, with 35 athletes. In addition, from the Valencian Community, about thirty regatists have moved; seventeen from Catalonia; eleven from the Canary Islands; along with those from Galicia, Madrid and Melilla.

This official competition of the Real Federación Española de Vela, organized by the Real Club Marítimo de Melilla, will be the first major sports event of the year in the Autonomous City, including it on the agenda of Melilla Sport Capital for this 2023

Tomorrow, the Spanish Championships of the Techno 293, Techno Plus and iQFoil, with the presence of more than 140 regatists from seven autonomous communities, begin in melillense waters... the competition will take place between Wednesday and Saturday, with the latest tests and the delivery of trophies.

Andalusia, with more than 40 regatists, will be the community with more representatives in the field of the melillense race. It is followed by the team of the Balearic Islands, with 35 athletes. In addition, from the Valencian Community, there will be about thirty regatists, seventeen from Catalonia, eleven from the Canary Islands, along with those from Galicia, Madrid and Melilla.

Among those registered are the Barbara Winau and the Andalusian Arancha Sahuquillo, athletes of the RFEV National Sports Tecnification Plan, who will participate in the iQFOiL Sub19 class.

Presence also of the current world champion of Techno Sub17, the Mellillense Azul Sánchez, who now sails on iQFOil Sub17; the canary Bruno Barbara, world champion Techno Sub17 who continues to sail in the class; and the Andalusian Arturo Arauz, world subchampion and Spanish champion Techno Sub17 who takes the leap to the iQFOiL Sub19.

Nor will the appointment be missed by others of the national title of 2022, such as the Canary Islands Blanca Briganty, the Spanish champion of Techno 293; the Andalusian Blanca Cueto from Techno Sub17 to iQFOiL Sub19; the Balar Gala Fornés that will sail in Techno Sub15 instead of Sub13; the also Andalusian Gonzalo Díaz that from Techno Sub15 will sail in iQFOil Sub17; and the Balar Caterina Tomás that gives the jump of Techno Sub17 to SubQFOil 17.
