The international race, within the framework of the Optimist Excellence Cup, will be held from 26 to 29 January with representation from 26 countries

The tenth edition of the Euromarina Optimist Torrevieja Trophy begins the countdown for the great sailing party... the international sailing race for children, within the framework of the Optimist Excellence Cup, organized by the RCN of Torrevieja and to be held between 26 and 29 January, it is now closed its official registration with a very high participation that reaches the 426 registered.

The Torreviejense event will bring together a total of 26 countries in the four days of competition, which places the Torrevieja race with one of the best on the international scene. The presence of regatists from Taipei (Yusa- Taipe) or Hong Kong is noteworthy.

Poland will be the country with the highest representation, with a total of 45 regatists. In the official list, for the time being and in which no changes are expected, six countries with more than 10 representatives are highlighted by the Polish team: Hungary 22, Switzerland 20, Croatia 18, Denmark 17, the Netherlands 16, Portugal 15, Gracia 14 and Turkey 12. Spain, being the host country, will have 181 regatists from all the Spanish geography.

Together with these 10 countries, plus Hong Kong (1) and Taipei (2), they will take part in the Great Britain meeting, with 9 regatists; Germany and Israel with 8; Belgium with 7; Finland, Lithuania and Sweden with 6; Ukraine with 4; France, Norway and Thailand with 2; and Bulgaria, Czech Republic and Estonia with 1 representative.

On the sports level, 12 tests are planned in the four days of competition, which will start on Thursday 26 January with the first test of the day from 10 a.m., the same for the next three days.
