The Digital Nautical Trophy, in its second edition, will consist of four days as it will also take place on 21 January; and on 4 and 18 February.

This season that begins is going to be very special for the Royal Maritime Club of the Abra-Real Sporting Club; and is that the entity of Las Arenas is 125 years old this 2023 that has just begun. The first of the tests is the second edition of the Digital Nautical Trophy, the competition that inaugurates the wide sailing calendar of this year so marked for this club vizcadino, which was born in 1898 with the unforgettable Sporting batea, a pioneer in the sailing sport in our country.

The first championship of the year begins on Saturday January 7 in the waters of the Abra, with the departure for the J80 monotypes at 11: 00 and for the cruises at 12: 00. The first winners in the palmarés of this Digital Nautical Trophy were the Fhimasa Escuela de Vela José Luis de Ugarte de Nicolás Viar between the monotypes of the J80 class; the Alpega de Alfonso Churruca in the Regata class; the Kribi of Juan Manuel Pereiro in Cruciero I; and the Kohen of Juan Carlos Estefanía in Cruciero II.

This first test of the calendar will then be followed by the Astobiza Trophy, the participating 38th edition of the Inverse Regata-BBVA, the IV EKP International Women's Sailing Cup or the Euskadi Championship, the last two of the J80 class, as the Spanish Championship of this division from June 15 to 18. In addition to the II Engels & Volkers Trophy, in June and July there will be other tests always as outstanding as the XVIII Surne-58th Eskarra Trophy, the Lurcar Cruise Bizkaia Championship (which also serves 38), the XXXII EKP Costa Vasca-Whale Gold Trophy and the Gitana Cup, or already in August the Getxo-Gijón-La Coruña Regata.

From September the turn of the traditional Copa Castro, the X Trophy El Correo, the Social Trophy Red Cross or the massive and festive Regata del Gallo Hyunda- Hyunbisa, the test that closes a full calendar each year. This time, with the 125th anniversary always present in each competition. In light sail, in addition to classic ones such as the José Luis Azqueta Trophy or José Luis de Ugarte, the Real Club Marítimo del Abra-Real Sporting Club will organize the Spanish Cup ILCA 6 in April and the Spanish Youth and Absolute Snipe Championship in late August and early September.
