The canary Miguel Méndez has proclaimed himself champion of theOptimist's Excellent Cup Trophyin the waters of the Gaditana Bay, after the last two tests held on Wednesday under the winds of Levante of 12 of medium intensity, with some moments of 17. The regatist of the Nautico of Gran Canaria has grown with the rise of the wind, although yesterday he already won a test with minor winds, and after remaining imbued in what he has given of whether the day, he gives the definitive effect and achieves the goal he came to seek Cadiz.

Méndez wins by a point over the Andalusian Sergio Mancera, a regatist who defended the first position he came to after winning the four tests of the previous day, with a solvent leader who held until the penultimate test thanks to the discarding of a twelve, but who later lost the obligation to rule out a seventeen. With one point between them, the RCMT regatist Punta Umbria is in line with the subchampionship, in a podium that completes with three and four more points, the RCN regatist of Valencia, Blanca Ferrando, fifth and second in the farewell. At the doors of the final podium are Carlete Gómez of the CNM Benalmádena and Iñigo Jáuregui of the CN of Hondarribia, tied to points in the fourth and fifth place, respectively.

Resolves the victories in the category Sub 16 by Miguel Méndez and Blanca Ferrando, the first Sub 13 is Marta Ferrando also from the RCN of Valencia, the third absolute female, with the male triumph in this category for the Galician Paco Riveras of the RCN of Vigo. Among the smallest, category Sub 11, the titles remain at home thanks to the victories of Adolfo Cañizares of the CN Sevilla and the young Lidia Hernández of the CID of Chipiona, leader from the first day. All of them are the leading champions of the Port City Regata in its ninth edition.
