Miguel Fernández Vasco was chosen best regatist of the year of the Real Club Náutico de La Coruña for his work and sporting achievements in the larhgo of the season that was closed at the Real Club Náutico de La Coruña.

The finist was in his fair measure valued by the Deportiva Commission... for having won the European championship in the Finn class, Galician champion or the national and Spanish Cup subchampionships in the same class, in addition to the Galician subchampionship of J-80 along with Esteban Martínez de la Colina, Jaime Herrero and Roberto Bermudez de Castro.

The awards were given during the course of the Contractor's Dinner, which is organized annually by the Coruñés Club and attended by Gonzalo Trenor, Territorial Delegate of the Xunta, Javier Celemín, Council of Education, Gonzalo Guillén Capt Marítimo and the President of the Nautico Fernando Cobián accompanied by the Board of Directors... the Olympic gold medal Sofia Toro, did not want to miss the act.

Special mention was given to the former sports councilwoman of the Coruñés Mónica Martínez City Council for her unconditional support in promoting the sailing. David Rivero was awarded the French subchampionship and the national master of the Finn class; Mauro González Regueral for his third world youth position at Snipe; Marta Torres for the Vaien class world subchampionship; the young Fernando González del Castillo as the winner of the International Atlantic Week and the Galician champion of Optimiss.

In addition, Andrés Soto received the Finisterre Trophy for being the winner of Galicia's longest race with its 120 miles, between A Coruña and Vigo, with his ship Gómez Mostly.

Among the mentions were the one given to journalist María Varela of the newspaper La Opinión for her information sobe la Vela, as well as Miguel Fernández García for her unconditional support with the regatas of the Club.

There were also some memories of the Club for the winners in the Grand Prix of J-80, the Grand Prix of Cruises, for the regatists who leave the Optimist Class, the calls for the Galician selection of Optimist, also for the calls for the Galician selection of ILCA4, the Galician subchampions of J-80, the Galician subchampions for the Optimist team, and the winning team of the Trophy President of the Xunta of J-80 formed by Esteban Martínez de la Colina, Enrique Vilariño, Juan Miguel de Castro and Roberto Múñeira.
