The great objective of Alonso will be to enhance the Association as the Nautical Cluster of the Ria de Vigo... with the competition and support of all the entities and companies of the viguese era in this sector

The AARIVEN Nautical Association based in Vigo, which brings together the main nautical, marine, federations and companies of the sector, elected the new president of the Vigués Jorge Alonso Comodoro of the Club Marítimo de Vigo.

The new president has managed to gather a representative Board of Directors, which has been supported by his Club, as well as with the satisfaction of the Harbour Authority of Vigo (who voted in his favour, through Carlos Botana high representative of the direction of the Port of Vigo).

In the Board of Directors will be Manuel Villaverde (president of the Royal Galician Federation of Vela), José Antonio Portela (president of the Royal Nautical Club of Vigo), the Galician businessman José Ignacio Fernández Abeijón (among other charges is the administrator of Vanguard Marine), the recognized industrial of the shipbuilding sector Mario Cardama (which currently occupies, in addition to the direction of the centenary Astileros Cardama, the presidency of the Nutichocultural foundation Traslatio) and Susi Acuña of the transport company of Piratas de Navia.

JORGE ALONSO ALVAREZ (Vigo, 1967)

Journalist, lawyer MBA and master in protocol, as well as in RRSS management. In the world of the nautical he was part of the crew of the monotype First Class 8 subchampion of Europe of 1983, as well as in his youth he proclaimed himself the autonomous champion of the class optimist, is captain of yacht and is currently Commodore of the Club Marítimo de Vigo. It has a brilliant curriculum in the world of state communication, where it became head of the press of the Ministry of Health and the Congress of Deputies. He is currently editor-in-chief of Digital Nautics, advisor to the Agoeiro Editorial and is part of several boards of management of companies in the nautical sector.
